I have a Firepower that has very little volume. cabinet mounted control turned up all the way only give low volume. I have changed the cabinet control with no change. Speaker was changed out previously with a 40 watt 8 ohm speaker plus I have hooked up an original williams speaker out of a Flash with no change. Adjusting the knob on the speech card does not make a difference either. Any thoughts?

I swapped in another sound board and worked the same but did not get speech, swapped in a rebuilt board same results but had speech working. Replaced the rheostat already with no change. Replaced all the IDC connectors on the sound board with molex crimp type and still the same (seems just slightly louder but could be imagining that as it is not much different). This leaves an issue on the speech board or low power input to 10J1 which I have not tested at this point.

On a system 6-7 board you connect the 2 pins( together which gives full volume output

Solved. The issue is on the speech board causing low overall sound output. ribbon cable or mixing pot?
