No foil. They are a mix of flat, glossy and metallic vinyls. Not sure how they did this, you can feel the different layers. They look really nice. Maybe not quite godzilla foil but better than mando -where the whole decal is gloss.

The carnage side looks great, but personally i would have preferred both sides to stay in the darker blue venom side hue.

The gameroomods pcb protectors came out spectacular and are now shipping!!! Our original plan was to offer them in black and dark transparent. We found transparent wasn't necessary since you can actually see the little leds on the ball lock pcbs when the opaque black ones were installed. We also discovered that a matte black looks amazing! For this reason our standard version will be opaque matte black. We will still offer a couple other options (at least temporarily). Just add your alternate preferences to the order notes if you DON'T want matte opaque black. All required hardware and a couple black cable ties are included.

These are nice. The matte black for the PCB cover is the way to go. They basically blend in, like they should. Testing with the glassy black I found it to be super reflective and would be a bit distracting especially when the left ramp green lock insert was lit, as the green would reflect.

First weekend of ownership update on our LE:

Good Lordy, this game is something! Im only a handful of games in myself, because my boys have been eating this one up. Kiddos and wife agree, this is the most fun initially since we brought home godzilla.

I have it set up fairly steep. It's fast and buttery smooth, a combo machine! The fast locks are awesome, the orbits are great, the ramps are rewarding. Really enjoy the changing playfield and strategy (perks) aspect with characters. I've avoided watching any gameplay purposely, so I'm still figuring out the rules. But man oh man, we are excited about this one.

Competition mode won't allow it. Also every time you scan it asks if you want to use saved progress or not.

Aaaargh! You guys are so lucky, I don't know for sure but I'm gonna assume our LEs are now getting loaded onto the slow boat to Australia - probably via Singapore etc... I cannot wait to get my LE! Has anyone decided if Progression should be turned off for Tourney Play?

Seems like there is minimal benefit outside having unlocked characters. Some modes are easier but you score less points due to the brevity of the mode.

Thoughts?

What settings are you serious people using?

Just got my Pro edition yesterday and I'm loving it! To me, it feels like a blend of Black Knight and GOT. This isn't for those who just want to shoot aimlessly and expect things to happen.

Areas of Confusion: I initially found the Grid, multipliers, and perhaps the team-up features a bit challenging to understand.

Battle Activation: To initiate a battle, you need to complete a line vertically in your grid. Each circle will be color-coded, corresponding to an arrow on the playfield. Take the first shot to enable the combo, and then aim for the illuminated arrows to finish the combo. Typically, it involves 2 shots. When the light stops blinking, it indicates the mode's completion.

Multipliers: This is another combo, centered on the ramp with the purple shot. Consistent shooting will trigger the bell, which when hit, will grant you the multiplier.

Team-Up Characters: Each character can be collected in a unique way and comes with its own perks:

Hybrid: Defeat Riot, Agony, Phage, and Lasher either in their Battle Modes or during Mayhem Multiball.
Sleeper: Unlock by defeating the Infected. If Flash is chosen as the game's initial host, Sleeper is automatically unlocked.
Miles Morales: Achieve a 4-WAY combo. Additionally, if you start with Peter as the host, Miles is unlocked.

** FIXED:
- Removed audits that where not being used.
- If a player TILTED during the BATTLE MODES, their progress was not being
reset correctly.
- Sometimes when the flippers were reversed during GRENDEL, they would not
reset until the start of the next ball.
- During the DOPPELGANGER phase of RAMPAGE, the grace period was not being
honored on the ball saver. Updated the ball save lamp effect to time out.
- INFECTED was sometimes awarding LIGHT EXTRA BALL and BONUS X when it
shouldn't.
- MYSTERY could sometimes crash in rare cases.
- MYSTERY was sometimes awarding SPECIAL when it shouldn't.
- SECRET HIDEOUT SKILL SHOT was sometimes not being awarded for some of the
HOSTS.
- COOP HIGH SCORES 1-4 on ATTRACT MODE was not showing the correct names in
the correct locations.
- Fixed some text alignment issues on INSTANT INFO.
- HYBRID and SLEEPER TEAM-UPS would remain qualified when used.
- The TEAM UP lights were sometimes showing characters available when they
weren't.
- BALL SAVE time was being extended incorrectly for some hosts during BATTLE
MODES.
- INFECTED targets were not awarding points during GRENDEL and KNULL
BATTLES.
- When you lost with an unlocked host you should have lost all 6 lights in
the grid of that host path.

- GRENDEL BATTLE rules have been updated. Here is a summary of all the

timing down. It will change from white to yellow to red when its
close. If it gets that far he will do his Special Attack. Grendels
Special Attack will reverse the flippers. Also all your shots will
turn light blue. You have to shoot one to undo the reversed flippers
and resume your battle.

Hitting Grendel will make him reset his Special Attack timer.

** TWEAKED:
- Made ALL OF THE ABOVE Mystery award rarer.
- Added Bigger Points to Mystery.
- Made it harder to light Mystery starting with the 2nd one. The number of
times you need to complete the lower 4 lanes is now { 3, 5, 7, 9, 9 ... }
- In Blood Lust you can now only add flips 3 times. Each of those have a max
of 18 flips if you shoot the center ramp 3 times before hitting the
Carnage Newton ball. The Bell Tower will still add 5 flips.
- Shortened BALL SAVE time during GRENDEL BATTLE.
- Reduced ball save time for all BATTLE MODES under HARD setting.
- The MAYHEM MULTIBALL SUPER JACKPOT shot timer is reduced when MAYHEM
MULTIBALL ends before it is collected.
- SPECIAL ATTACK is not lit at the start of each phase of a BATTLE MODE.
- FLAMETHROWER should not be active during GRENDEL BATTLE when being
attacked.
- During GRENDEL BATTLE when he attacks, the shots are now lit on the
smaller shot lights.
- The timers in Battle Modes get tighter the more Host you have unlocked.

- If Home Team menu is present, a popup window will make you confirm a

Do not turn off PROGRESSION.

There are two Competition modes in the GAME PLAY MENU.
COMPETION MODE - Set Competition mode for that game. In Competition mode there is not saved progress and no randomness.
PROLONGED COMPETITION MODE - Set Competition mode until the power is turned off or the mode is changed.

If you have the keys to the game you can turn Competition by default.

I always pry the staples out and then pull them off with needlenose pliers. So access to the manual isn't the issue (I've posted a scan of the rubber ring page for someone that wanted it), it's just way less convenient than a PDF. Seems like Stern should have had both up by now.

Waiting on my premium now, but I have a shaker motor in waiting. I think the game will appreciate the shaker motor both in normal play and along the mini battle modes. Maybe even on some of the video challenges on the LCD.

I don’t mind waiting a couple of extra days, a little later in the run. Gets the bugs out ahead of time. Allows the line to figure it out better. So advantageous both ways.

I mean, I want everyone to get their Venom groove on, of course… but c’mon. Did they double their production capacity but not their shipping capacity?

Some distributors pick up from Stern and ship out same or next day. Some distributors wait for product to be shipped to them then turn around and ship to customers. One is faster than the other, sometimes by up to a week.

Ended up ordering the shaker. Also picked up the colored speakers from speakerlightkit because his flame kit looked so good on my Godzilla. External volume rocker from pinball life, as all my machines have this, and it's a great quality of life improvement.
And red flipper buttons. My Godzilla buttons had resistance with a clicking noise about 3/4 down and it was super annoying. (not the third flipper going up) So I got a new set, in case my venom does the same. And of course a cupholder for the side!

I mean a shaker costs around 1% of the price of the pin. Even if it only increases the experience by 1-2% it’s still worth it. Plus you can always take out and use on another pin if you sell it.

I imagine that it’ll pulse slightly for made shots like infected, also probably vibrate a lot for something like Hulk Smash.

I never feel like I can’t live without a shaker but usually they add something to the pin.
