History has shown that things like "show starts up again" (or movie release dates, etc) have zero impact on Stern release schedules. There are too many variables for them to be able to time things out like that.

Venom is an awful theme. But I do like the idea of a supervillain table... a dedicated Joker table would be amazing.

I don't know what Gomez can do, recent layouts are basically reskins.

I want both, but really hoping Venom is like Deadpool 2.0 with great art and fun code. As much as I like rush, I almost find the shots to not be as satisfying compared to when I play my Deadpool. Hoping for something maybe a little on the simple side with classic style fun either way.

Sounds like you should add some older Williams games to your collection!
I've had a few, they're really not for me. I enjoy TAF, but TZ and IJ didnt resonate with me. I am enjoying CC but the remake. The first pins I ever played were modern Sterns so that shaped a bit of my preference. I am trying to mix up the lineup a little though.

I'm definitely in the Bond camp, a top theme for me, nearly as much as JAWS. DPLE was my one comicbook theme game, don't really need another one like Venom.

Venom should be a no brainer, a lot of Deadpool was cut due to the restricted development time. So given a second shot at a similar style game, give it all the stuff Deadpool had cut.
Plenty of enemies you can choose to battle, take your pick of symbiotes - Scream, Lasher, Phage, Agony, Riot, Mania, Sleeper and of course Carnage!
Throw in Spider-Man as an ally or wizard mode. Demogoblin is another great character and would look amazing drawn by Yeti. Add Morbius in as a cameo and he could power up into Rune, not comic accurate but Rune was a vampire Hunter that merged with a symbiote but Morbius would be a nice Easter egg.
Lots of potential for a kick ass venom game whether your a comic book fan or not, Deadpool 2.0 would be fun time for most.

Watched Goldfinger last night and really enjoyed it. I can see why its held in such high regard with Bond fans. I assume thats the Aston that Joe Kaminkow is making a replica of? Thats gonna be so cool!

The poll asks which game we think Stern will make next, but (based on most of the comments) it seems to be asking us which one we’d prefer. I voted Venom based on the way the question was written, but I’d much prefer Bond…especially if it has multiple actor portrayals of the character.

You know what dude I hadn’t even connected the two, likely due to my complete lack of time on the original avengers after battling with a friends complete clunkfest out of the box.
But yeah there are a few similarities now you’ve pointed it out, but as long as it’s fun I could live with another fighting style game and the 2D animations in Deadpool look way better than the 3D stuff from Stern in say TMNT.
Speaking of colt and paste layouts I played Rush this past weekend with an Xmen as well to compare and that thing is practically a carbon copy but boy does Rush suck the fun out the room, that thing is just not fun to shoot.
Rush is.....not what I would call fun to shoot either. Its decent but the upper flipper for me is sloppy as shit. Seems more like Frankenstein than XMen 
Fun is the most important thing; I just don't want them to fall into a rubber stamped kind of situation. I just don't want them to say "ok we got a comic theme; 2d fighting with health bar."

If it's all the Bonds, I am in. If it's just Connery (especially just one older movie) I am out.
I will 100% get Venom if Brian Eddy is the designer.
