I have recently started collecting coke and i would love to have a coin operated vendo machine to go in my man cave with my pins. Wondering from anyone else who has them how much does it cost extra in electric? Do they make repoduction ones for alot cheaper? I more just like the look of the Vendo 39s and the Vendo 81s with the see thru doors than the price of them.also willing to trade a pin or other collectibles i have for one any advice, ones for sale or links to new ones that are knock offs with same look would be much appriciated.

I love my Vendo 56. It is a fun addition to the gameroom.
Good luck finding one

I had one recently restored that has been in our family for over 60yrs. The cooling system is new however (due to the refrigerant used in a 1957 unit, not bc the original didn’t t work). That said i expect it to be more efficient in terms of both cooling and power consumption.

Love that "Wink" sticker!! Don't think that's made anymore, used to be my go to cocktail as a kid. Gin and Wink...

I have a restored vendo 81 i would sell. Pm me.

I’ve thought about coke/soda vending machines before, but I know nothing about them. Is “Vendo” the manufacturer and the following number the year? Also, do these units generally run in the hundreds or thousands for price? I think it’s an absolutely cool piece for a game room!

#7 4 years ago

Vendo is manufacturer, the number is # of bottles it dispenses. Mine is a Vendo 39 made in the 1957.

#8 4 years ago

Vendo is the manufacturer. Like any hobby some models are more sought after than other models. There are people that just collect pop machines. The ones pictured above look fantastic.

My Vendo 56 is a 1956. It is all original. It has adjustable shelves. Fits 12 oz. Coke bottles and beer bottles. Some long necks don't fit. Keeps bottles nice and cold. It can get a little noisy though.

Wink soda was before my time, but that and the Sprite sticker add character.

I have a Cavalier coke machine.

I like this model better than the circular drum style. It can take the small coke bottles or regular sized beer bottles.

And the red circular "Have A Coke" button lights up when you drop in a dime, letting you know you can pull out a bottle.

I have a nice under-cabinet beer fridge right now, so I don't really need one and I don't have the space for one. I'll get the itch and then come to my senses. That said, just last week I looked at some on e-Bay. I would love to have an old Vendo or Cavalier. It's got to have the rounded look and, most importantly, the long glass door with multiple selections. I can remember as a kid we would try to pull two bottles at the same time thinking if we could time it perfectly, we'd get two Cokes for the price of one. Hmm, I think I'll have to go downstairs and scope out the room again.

I actually have an old 1970's Cavalier Coke machine. Still cools down but needs to be cleaned up (not sure of the coin mechanism quality/function). If interested, I can take additional pictures. I would definitely be interested in trading for a pinball.

Saw a Coke Cavalier 72 on CL recently completely restored. Was asking 4500.00. These aren't cheap!

#18 4 years ago

Too much for me. Im looking to trade some of my 1950s gas globes, old police licence plates & maybe a gottlieb wedgehead for a vendo 39 or vendo 81 working condition

#19 4 years ago

For these older vending machines were any branded with other sodas? I mean something besides Coke and Pepsi. I would love to have a 7up, Bubble Up, Orange Crush or maybe an RC machine.

#20 4 years ago

Yes the cavalier 110 machines were seen branded by orange crush 7up and diffrent drink types but rare to find

I bought my vendo 44 which was previously restored by Vintage vending. The person that I got it from damaged it during shipping, so it has some bumps and bruises, but overall pretty nice.

Very nice Vendo 44!
I have always like these because they take up less floor space than some of the other models.
They also seem to be priced a little higher.

Anyone want to trade their vendo 39 or vendo 81 for my working 1 owner Atlantis pinball machine thats within 7 hours driving of virginia

#24 4 years ago

If you haven’t already, check out coin op warehouse and coin op amusements on Facebook. They’re both in Hagerstown MD. COW especially moves a lot of coke machines — you usually have to act fast when he posts one.

He trades stuff too so you might PM him about what you have and maybe he’ll trade if he has a working coke machine in stock.

Hope this helps.

#25 4 years ago

Looking for an vendo 44 coke machine. Have things avaliable for trade

#26 4 years ago

I've got a Vendo 81b coke machine that I'm thinking about selling. It was restored about 8 years ago and is still in very good condition.
One small dent on the left side, other than that she's minty. Contact me if interested.

Just thought I would post a pic of my fully restored 1954 Vendo 81.

I had it done in a 1954 Chevy turquoise color and it looks absolutely amazing! My pic does not do it justice!

I also added a vertical white LED strip inside the bottle door, for great illumination.

Very, very nice. I like the Chevy turquoise. It makes your Vendo 81 unique.

Looking for either a Coke Vendo 81 or 110. Short of one holding more bottles than the other, what would else would there to look for in choosing one over the other? Oh, as to condition, it can be a nice working original or a fully restored one.
