Quoted from zh2oson:Tesla Model Y update?
Thanks to RobF for finding this, doesn't look promising due to the floor to opening height being < 28".

Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:Also note that even if it looks like it will, you cannot fit a pin in the sliding door.
On my 2013 I can fit a pin in the sliding door if I remove the grab bar. Is this also the case in the newer models, or is the issue the width of the opening in general?
On mine a Stern is definitely easier since the head is narrower. But a WPC will fit, it is just tight.
So are you guys saying you can't put a pin in the back of a 2016+ Odyssey without removing a middle seat? If so, wow.
I'm not asking about across the width, I mean can you put a single pin in the back length wise as shown in position 2 on your pic without removing a middle seat? In my 2001 and 2013 you could slide a single pin in the back that way without removing any middle seats, you just fold down the third row.
Quoted from Captive_Ball:You can definitely fit one pin in a Honda Odyssey by just folding down the third row and leaving the second row in. I have done many times. You do have to move the 2nd row seats up a bit.
We're talking about the fifth generation body style: 2018+. Are you confirming that they fit in these models without removing middle seats? We know they fit in the older models before 2018 just fine.
Quoted from Pinash:Chevy Bolt anyone? Ideally with head on...?
I don't see how it would be remotely possible. I haven't even bothered to measure because it is obvious it won't work.
I bought the 1090 lb Haul Master trailer from Harbor Freight and I'm putting a hitch on my Bolt. That will be my new pin hauling setup.
Quoted from goingincirclez:Are there any minivans that can fit one modern pin AND comfortably seat four people??!
The fourth generation Odyssey (2011-2017) will fit a pin in back with the middle seats installed, so you can actually seat five with a pin in the back. I'm not sure about the fifth generation (2018+) but I'd hope so, the body style is very similar. I tried to get clarification on this but couldn't.
The fourth generation won't fit a NIB Stern with the middle seats unless you fold the seat backs down, but any game out of box will fit just fine.
2010 Subaru Outback. It fits a WPC game, with some work.
Photo is from a client's vehicle. How we made it work:
-You'll probably need two people for this. One to lift and pull the front of the game and one to push.
-Remove bottom rear seat. There are two hooks on either side, you grab under the front and lift up sharply and the seat will come loose. Not sure if this was totally necessary, but I think it gave a little extra room at the front of the game so it didn't wedge upwards as much.
-Pull back the rubber seal at the top and bottom of the hatch and remove the upper trim piece and the lower trim piece. The trim is all held in place with clips and will pop out. Replace the seal after removing the trim pieces.
-Put the game in with the coin door towards the front. Have the strap's rachet and hooks on the side of the game. It won't fit if they are at the top. You may have to open the coin door so the person in the front can get a hand hold and pull the game.
-The latch for the hatch might be in the way to get the game out. You have to lift it over and it might take two people. Be prepared to remove the latch (two bolts) just in case.
-Note, you'll probably scratch up the headliner a little bit at the opening to the hatch. The game rubs the headliner when going in.
-Also be aware that you are sliding the game on the carpet and it is tight. If you have loose or splintered plywood at the front or back of the game, you may peel off a layer. You might want to put painter's tape along the front and back to protect from peeling the plywood.
I didn't help unload so I can't comment on how hard it was to get the game out.

I haven't actually seen an EUV, but the dimensions are very close to the Bolt EV from a cargo perspective. The EUV has a little more length in the back seat passenger area. I have a Bolt EV and I can't see in any way how a pin would have a chance of fitting. Believe me, I've looked long and hard at it trying to see how it might work. I set mine up to pull a small trailer when I have to haul a pin. And no, the Bolt isn't rated for towing. So don't take this as an endorsement if you don't like to color outside the lines.

Quoted from Grayman_EM:Also one of the downside cons I heard is tire wear on them are greater than a regular vehicle.
I'm hesitant to respond to this as I hate to go down this road and derail this thread. Yes, you can go through tires quicker. As with anything it depends on how you drive and what you drive. People that are anti-EV have to grasp at something to criticize. Yes, there are disadvantages to an EV, but there are so many advantages that *possibly* going through tires quicker is something I'll gladly take.
Quoted from ray-dude:I sold my Tesla Model 3 and will soon take delivery of a Model Y. I have a vague pipedream of maybe being able to haul a pin in one. Has anyone with a Model Y had success?
Earlier in this thread (search for Model Y) it was discussed and someone posted a link to a site with good measurements. It isn't going to work. The rear opening slopes down too quickly on the sides, and even in the middle the height is too low for a pin to fit.
Your best bet is to get a trailer. The Y is rated for towing and you can get a hitch for it pretty easily.
Quoted from bigguybbr:I'll have to check one out and take some cargo measurements. It doesn't bother me if I have to remove the head as long as I can get it in and the hatch closed.
Don't get your hopes up. I really don't think it is going to work, even with removing the head. You can fit a ton of stuff in a Bolt, I've done it. But a pin isn't one of them.
