Can anyone verify newer Sterns will fit in a 2016-2018 Ford Edge? Thinking of getting one. I see pics earlier in the thread of Bally/Williams titles just barely fitting and rubbing the roof at the backbox latch. In my experience Sterns are a little tighter in our current Equinox, soooo....

    Quoted from fuzz:

    anybody have a 2017 forester?
trying to fit a RBION stern in it
    Ripley's Believe It or Not!

I have a 2018 Forester XT, and have fit a TWD in mine. It is tight because of the passenger side rear roof mounted seat belt mount has a protrusion in the headliner. It hits the top side of the folded head and could cause some wear on headliner if not careful. You may be able to get by that moving the machine more to the left side while loading. I'll try that next time. You'll also want to have that seat belt detached and retracted up into the headliner if I recall correctly.

But anyway yes, a Stern just fits going in centered in my 2018, the last year of this gen Forester.

Anyone tried or have a 2019+ Cherokee (non-Grand) to measure? The previous design 2014-2018 don't fit a pin, but the Cherokee underwent a mid-cycle redesign that included a new hatch and bumper design, that added a few more cubic feet of rear storage per press releases. It looks like the hatch opening may have been lowered an inch or so vs the pre-refresh models, but it's hard to tell if that is really the case with the rest of the cosmetic changes, and if that is enough even if it was improved...

It would be a great option for a midsize crossover with a decent 4wd system if those can at least fit a new Stern, plus they fixed the "polarizing" front end design...
