I have what I believe to be two boards that were classified as DMD Board A-14039. One of them is is 5760-12710-00, and the other is 5760-12710-11. The -00 works in my Jackbot, which is a WPC-S machine that takes A-14039-1.
My question is concerning the wire that's been soldered between two points on the -11 board. That connection exists as a trace on the -00 board, so I'm wondering if someone took a board from a different generation machine and hacked it to work with mine. Not that there's a problem with that, but when I see extra wires soldered to my boards, I like to understand why.
So, does anyone have any insight as to the machines these two revisions of boards were originally supposed to go into?
