Hello everyone! I've got the option of buying two pinball machines: Williams 1990 Whirlwind and a Bally 1978 Lost World.

The sellers want me to come up with a price and I'm not quite sure of it, that's why I want to ask you pro's for help

Condition of both the machines:

-They've been standing in a very damp and cold basement and both have a lot of rust to especially their back legs.
-Both of the machines power up (lights), but don't let you start a game.
-All of the displays from both of the machines do not work, they might be broken or it might be something else.
-Whirlwind is missing its topper.
-Cabinet and playfields seem to look very decent/good for their age, nobody played on them for atleast 12 years.
-The ramps are not cracked and they're complete.
-Cabinet of both games is a bit filthy but I found out you can wipe it off.
-Unfortunately all keys are lost so I can't check the boards or insides for damage, so it's a bit of a gamble.

What would you think of the value, what should I bid?

Thanks a lot for helping!

Yeah I think you're right about that, I'm sure alot of metal parts will be rusted and the wood might be bad :/

Could ask the owners to drill the locks so I can look under the playfields and in the backboxes

Bump for advice

Quoted from Phat_Jay:

When were batts last changed??

It has to be at least 12 years ago, I'm very worried about the boards

Quoted from brenna98:

The lost world has a major area painted green on the playfield. It's a cheap game to start with. Maybe $200 value that one.

Wow glad I asked for advise, didn't even notice that in the first place!

Quoted from jawjaw:

It cannot be pretty inside the cabinets.

It won't be pretty, I'm sure of that :/ These games will need a lot of love, time and money to return in their original state.

Gonna start with a low bid, no more then €1000 I guess

Thanks Phat_Jay , brenna98 , jawjaw and pinbum for your help!
