I'm a semi-regular streamer of pinball and arcade games from the SF bay area. Recently I went on a work trip to Nashville (US), London (UK) and Madrid (Spain). All these places have pinball machines, believe it or not!

So I played around with the idea of bringing a laptop and a GoPro to stream a few games. How bad can it get?

The setup looks like this when playing a game (Pablo from La Millonaria is modelling):
    Shamrock!Shamrock!

This is a screenshot of what it looks like in action (added value when the venue has Scorbit!):
    Bit!Bit!

The setup is mainly tailored towards DMD/LCD games as it's difficult to capture the entire backbox, but JJP games sort of works:
    Yarr!Yarr!

Other obvious problems include a lot of glare because of the low angle and viewers not being able to see the entire playfield. Excessive nudging will of course make the viewers seasick as well.

Switching game takes less than a minute (during a test run at Lynn's Arcade):

Venue walkthroughs, games and other clips are available on my Twitch (https://twitch.tv/dri374) and YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/DRI374) channel from this trip.

I have not written up the entire gear list just yet, but it will be available on on my Twitch profile (https://twitch.tv/dri374/about) in a couple of weeks.

    Praise and flames are welcome!

Oh really? I put the channel trailer on rotation on FB/IG for like $50 a while back. It didn't yield anything so I saw no point continuing down that route. But I guess it worked?

$50 aint bad. Ya, I definitely saw it. Im just not into watching streams much. More into making them. Seems like the trend. Streamers dont watch streams.

I wish I had the time. More fun to produce than watch.

I_P_D_B could use photos of a lot of these games uploaded, notably of V.1 and Moto Cross, which don't even have Pinside entires.

I streamed a soup-to-nuts session this morning on how to set it up and what parts I've used for the Pocket Rig.
