    for science rigor I would like to see a future test which includes a piece of paper where a pin would be located...

    what you said in point #2 is a big possibility and now I am curious of how this film is supposed to work.

    2) The paper was taped directly to the inside of the UV film. Maybe the film works by dispersing the UV, so a certain distance from the film may influence results.
