With all the ultra-high-res virtual pinball (VP) tables now available, has anyone considered using them to create real-world parts? I can think of at least three potential uses:
1. Creating a translite - take the backglass file out of a VP (or do a high-res screen capture), and have it printed as a translite
2. Copy a portion of the VP playfield to make decals to repair worn areas on your real-life version
3. Use the plastics on the VP table to create decals for making your own replacement plastics
I'm sure there are other potential applications - has anyone tried any of these ideas?
