I’ve been doing ok. Probably had a dozen items shipped over the past month including a $3500 guitar the only thing that never showed up was a wok.

I really wanted that wok too. We ordered another one.

Quoted from chad:

Levi, what kind of guitar did you get?

Well I hate showing it off but if you insist...

1970 SG. Plays great looks great sounds nasty!

Quoted from Billy16:

Who cares about the guitar--tell me about the wok!

It's too painful to speak about since it's been languishing in California for 2 weeks.

We got a refund and ordered a cheap one from Macy's.

Thanks for sharing. Looks very nice!

Is it brown? Or is it "cherry?"

I'd say it's cherry that's faded a little over 50 years.

Quoted from Billy16:

That is a nice looking SG. I'm guessing that is a Gibson trem? How does it sound and will it stay in tune if you use it?

Yeah it’s decent for some cool vibrato and actually stays in tune. You aren’t exactly gonna be doing dive bombs with it but it’s a neat little effect. Mostly it just looks cool. The tailpiece is awesome.

Im a BIG 007 fan, but i truly feel all the Bonds have something to offer. My least favorite is Timothy Dalton, however. Daniel Craig and Sean Connery are both excellent...but it would be hard to choose a best since the films, eras, directors, and scripts are SOOOO different.
I had an oil painting commissioned of Connery in Goldfinger. As soon as I put it up in my gameroom, I will have to share it in the gameroom pics thread.

Oooh! Let's rank the bonds!

1. Sean Connery (1961-1967) - awesome in every way. Will never be equaled let alone surpassed. I don't really need to explain why, just go watch Goldfinger or From Russia With Love.

2. Roger Moore - yeah I know, he was an old duffer even when he first played the role, he looks ridiculous attempting any kind of stuntwork, and he never met a bad bluescreen or stunt double he didn't like. But he was really good at the humor and charm (and could summon up a meanstreak when he had to) up till the movies got ridiculous and he really got old (we'll say that starts with Moonraker), and as my "childhood Bond" I'll always have a soft spot for him. Spy Who Loved Me is probably the 3rd best Bond movie ever. Still the longest-serving Bond, the public obviously loved him.

3. Dalton - criminally underrated and it's a real shame he didn't do more of them. License to Kill is one of the better Bond movies. He was the perfect successor to the aging, bloated, jokey Moore of the 1980s. He was serious, dark, and athletic, close to the "Bond from the books" - you know, all of the stuff everybody says they love so much about Craig now. Where were you ungrateful bastards when License to Kill wasn't selling movie tickets?! Would have loved to have seen him in Goldeneye.

4. Brosnan - perfectly serviceable but always seemed like he was just doing TV-version imitation of Connery to me, which really is exactly what he'd been doing since the Remmington Steele days. He certainly had the look and the athleticism down. Goldeneye was a very good movie and brought the series back bigtime. The rest of his movies were steadily diminishing returns.

5. Craig - he's perfectly serviceable but a bit overrated, and really brings nothing unique to the role besides his hair color and his unrelenting dourness. He gets a lot of credit for doing what Dalton already did 20 years earlier (bringing a "realistic/hard" edge to the character). He lacks the panache and charm that Bond should have. He's worn out his welcome quickly and I only liked Skyfall and Casino Royale the movies he's done. Solace and Spectre were pretty bad. Bond movies haven't actually been any fun since Brosnan. I guess his next (and supposedly final) movie will determine his final standing. If it's any good that'll probably bump him ahead of Brosnan for me.

6. Lazenby - just awful. Couldn't act and has a stupid and insufferable dimple on his chin. Not a big fan of his one movie either though there are tons of Bond fans who just SWEAR it's the best one ever. I will say that Secret Service is the only Bond Flemming book I ever read and the movie is pretty close to it, I gather that's hardly ever the case.

7. Connery (1971-1983) - My god was he bad in these two comeback movies. Old, fat, terrible toupee, and pretty miserable, like he was being forced to do these flicks at gunpoint. I can't believe how badly he aged between You Only Live Twice and Diamonds are forever. How is it that Roger Moore - who was actually older - managed to be a more believable Bond during this time period? No Bond has aged worse or had less conviction making these movies.

Funny, I actually thought this thread might be one dedicated to being grateful for UPS.
I work at a major parcel sorting facility for USPS, and we are bogged down with mail from other offices shutdown. That info isn't out there for people to dissect or interpret, but I assure you, this is a hectic time for people in this industry, as well as many others.
I'm more amazed that parcels can move so freely and quickly as they do. We process a few hundred thousand each day. And then these poor bastards on the street lug them out each day, a hundred or two, each and very day.
So while I get your frustration, as a big consumer myself, it's definitely not a normal time for this industry, so a bit of patience and appreciation would definitely be valued by your driver once your parcel does arrive.
Edit: Though I will say, I wasn't too gleeful about UPS when my driver delivered an open package from Gamestop. Rather than have two games in it, it had air. Their custome service told me to contact the shipper. Umm, thanks? I do wish the driver noticed, and maybe took it back and filed a claim before delivering, but then again...this dude probably delivered several hundred parcels that day. A cakewalk, it is not.

Really it's just like everything else about this crisis.

Americans are incredibly spoiled. In the scheme of things most of have made very small sacrifices so far.
