Upper Under-playfield Fuse blowing in F-14 Tomcat

I got an F-14 Tomcat and the slings & pop weren't firing, looked at the fuse that controls them (2.5a fuse under the playfield) and it had a blown 2a fuse in it, replaced that with a fresh 2.5a fuse, game worked for a little while and then blew. Figured I'd put a new one in and take it into the coil test and test the 3 solenoids on that fuse and see if any particular one is responsible, but this next fuse blew before any of the coils even fired.

What should I be checking to try and solve this?

You're not hearing anything lock on when you power up the game? Test the drive transistors for all the "Special Solenoids" and see if any are shorted.
