I have recently moved, and have attempted to update my location. No action on my part appears to make this happen: finding my new location and clicking 'proceed' doesn't work. In addition, the sidebar that has the coördinates and the proceed button sometimes disappears when using the search box, which makes the whole thing even worse.

I'm using chrome on Mavericks.

The 'update' bug is fixed, but the sidebar still helpfully goes away forever if you use the google map search functionality--if it's possible to get the sidebar back I can't figure out how.
