Quoted from docquest:Just got mine assembled this weekend. This thing is cool as hell.
Congratulations. Just got mine ordered this weekend and can't wait to play around with it.
I should add that Prof_Pinball was fantastic to deal with.

Finally got around to putting my Pinduino together (instructions are very well written by the way--not that I read them because that wouldn't be very manly). At this point I want to test it on the bench (I have a 5V/12V power supply) and play around with the code.
I see the pinduino_test_input on github, but I'm not sure if that works with the addressable led strips. I also see the pinduino directory, but not sure what to do with the src files: do I need all of them and the instructions for adding libraries says they should be in a zip file?
Are there directions for this stage of the setup that I'm missing somewhere?
Also, can someone explain the difference between the link in the first column and the link in the second column on github?
Hey Eric, thanks for the response and the info. I do plan on educating myself on the Arduino but just wanted to get a quick test on my board assembly before I dug into the code. The info you provided looks perfect.
Got the code installed and everything works great. Fantastic job guys on the product and the thorough instructions.
Someone earlier asked about clones. I'm using the SainSmart mega board ($22 on Amazon) and everything seems to work fine. There are some cheaper fourteen dollar clones, but they really didn't have very good reviews. This model also uses the same USB driver as the Arduino.
Now on to programming for BSD.
Check out eevblog.com, I'm pretty sure he's got some videos on logic analyzers. I've got an older Tektronix scope and a Rigol 100MHz. 90% of the time the Rigol will get the job done. Eevblog also has a review on the Rigol scope.
Nothing wrong with a good used Tektronix. I just wanted some of the digital capabilities that the Rigol offers, and since it's footprint is smaller (and it's much lighter) I tend to keep it on the bench.
Bump for a great mod.
All of my games are in storage except for two, which are torn apart for cabinet work and decals (delayed due to health issues). I'm looking for another game at the moment so I have something to put my Pinduino on (not so subtle hint: any JD's in socal for sale let me know). So that's my excuse, but would like to see what others are doing to tide me over.
Quoted from Wolfmarsh:I wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts/feedback before I did that though, so I didn't have to worry about separate versions floating around.
Looks like a solid design to me, and thanks in advance for sharing.
On a semi-side note, what's happened to our Pinduino guys?
Quoted from lyonsden:The photo is of the SwitchShield, which I've been wanting to get some time to play with so I can get switch sensing integrated in a pin (e.g., unique effect when a ramp entrance switch is triggered.
That's great news. Put me on the list.
I also need some additional led strips, so if you'll have this done in the near future I'll just wait and order all at once. I'm looking at a mustang so hopefully something soon to implement this on rather than just playing with it on the bench.
Quoted from mbott1701:Looking forward to playing around and testing it out this weekend. This is my first Ardunio project, so I'm still learning the ropes...
Congratulations, I'm sure you'll have a blast playing with it.
Quoted from lyonsden:SOLD OUT!
Bummer. I knew I should have bought a few to put on the shelf.
I look forward to your next version.
That's great news. Hopefully with some assembled products a larger audience will get interested (at least I presume they will be assembled).
Glad to hear the dyi kits will still be available. Let me know when you have them up on your site and I'll add the link to my Pinduino article.
I'm sure you've thought of this, but as you get the kits done I would post them in any club that may exist for that game.
Will you be selling some of the previously coded kits?
