I would prefer this also. It would seem pretty straight forward, get the newton ball assembly from the premium...then drill the appropriate hole in your playfield to fit said assembly and hook the switch where the stand up target was.
It really seems it comes down to who is brave enough to drill a hole through their pro playfield.

Was the installation easy?
It was my understanding that the cause of this was the speed of the ball around the loop, sometimes the ball would actually ride up along the rail instead of flush with the playfield with a fast shot, not breaking the opto beam completely. This fix I think narrows the beam and causes it to be broken completely with fast rail riding shots.
Install is pretty straight forward and should only take about 10-15 minutes, really isn't very difficult.

I have a pro and love the game so much I want a premium now. I have actually toyed with the notion of buying a premium and swapping the cabinets. I prefer the pro artwork package over the premium. Not sure if I tried to sell a pro in a premium cab that anyone would be interested though, so it may be a really dumb idea.

Sure that is an option, I have done many decal jobs on WPC games in the past...swapping the boards and playfield is an easier job.
