Quoted from rai:I just got the pin set up and find the mummy captive ball is not sensing hits. How do I adjusted?
I’ve had the same issue out of the box. I opened up the assembly and couldn’t see anything wrong what was installed. My newton ball kept getting stuck in the back position. I sent a video to my distributor showing them what was happening and this is what I got back from Stern.
“The captive ball has a shaft on the underside of the playfield and the point of this shaft sits ontop of what we call the "SPOON SWITCH"(see picture below). We have seen that the point of the shaft is jumping the spoon switch and the point is sitting on the outside of the spoon area. This being a new switch, It will need a small DOWN adjusmnet in order to make the shaft to come back to the center of the spoon switch. New Spoon switches tend to do this and will eventually wear in and lossen up the more it gets played”
I don’t believe that the actuator was jumping the spoon. The reason I say this is because I had the playfield lifted when I was doing some problem solving and not once did it jump the spoon when I was
What I did was carefully adjust the leaf spring. Now my machine plays 100% perfect. Hope this helps.
