I feel like Stern has this planned as a rolling thunder type of operation to unveil photos apart from each other to purposely keep the hype going. Or they just don't have approvals on the final art package for the other two models.

Quoted from Da-Shaker:This playfield looks awesome! It appears to have a Judge Dredd feel to it. Both upper flippers appear to orbit. If the left upper flipper orbits too, I'll have no choice but to be in the club.
Both upper flippers have loops.
Quoted from Frippertron:blockquote cite="#4315780">I got your back. Will be at My Parents Basement on day one that it’s available.
Maiden fever is real.
You mean, where you live?

Quoted from jeffsarcade:They make fun of that in the deadflip stream. Keith says to enjoy it while it lasts...
Here it is:
Quoted from chuckcasey:Dude, you’re right. It’s no where to be found but listed on the Stern comparison chart “New CPU mounted line-out audio connector for external amplification”. I hadn’t noticed because I installed a Pinovaters sub-out asap after unboxing. Dang.
Anyone find it ?
The line out is not a 3.5mm plug. Stern sells a headphone jack kit for $99. It plugs into 5 pin connector on the board.
Quoted from Mando:A bit misleading since this has been there on all Spike 2games .. I will get one though would like one for my sub .. pinnovators it is .
Not all. Batman 66, GOTG and Star Wars didn't have the 3.5mm jack either.
Quoted from Guinnesstime:I got it. One of the metal pieces was not resting properly against the ball at times. Needed to be bent.
In other news though, order some cabinet reinforcement asap, everyone! I don't even have a shaker installed. You can see some slight cracks. Gotta be from the wrong types of joints used.
They have not changed their process.
Question for you - Was this a Marco show game?
Ok - That stinks. The reason I asked is that I noticed they were putting the legs and head bolts on using sockets attached to drills and they jacked up a head bolt of my buddies IMDN by basically stripping out one of the head bolt threads completely. Thought this may be some over zealous tightning of the legs. I would call Stern about it.
Quoted from TaylorVA:Is his lower cabinet splitting?
I didn't notice anything, but it has been on location in Atlanta since MGC. I will check next time I play.
Quoted from Gryszzz:So today the song chose itself, then flippers were scoring points. Then points just started adding on their own. Checked leaf switches, they all seem fine. Any ideas?
Go into switch test and shake the machine. You will figure it out quick.
Quoted from Shapeshifter:More
Thinking maybe this is the answer? Toying with buying a set. Can get 10 inch but not keen on glass rattle.
https://flipperfidelity.com/sound/stern-speaker-systems/stern-spike-speaker-system-with-8-high-output-woofer.html
I would go with the 8”. Also it should come with anti-rattle tape for the edges of the glass.
Quoted from OnTheSnap:Ah yes. Staging is broken on my new premium. I need to re-gap the flippers to get them working. Thanks for the reminder.
Many IMDNs I have seen (Pro and Premium) have had issues with the flipper switches out of the box that caused staging to not work properly. Easy gap adjustment but I don't think they are testing for this in the factory.
Quoted from dtown:Yes. According to Iron Maiden’s flyer there should be a line out for external amplification. I would imagine it’s just a 3.5mm aux jack. If it is, I just want to know if it cuts out all the sound from the cabinet speakers when used. Like when you use one in your car.
I wouldn’t think so because most people would use it to add a sub and not an entire amplified stereo.
I looked through the manual and didn’t see anything referencing it but the flyer said it’s on the CPU.
Nope. The “line out” is not a 3.5 jack on Spike 2. It’s a pinout on the board.
Two options:
Pinovators sub out board. This creates at 3.5 jack to go to a subwoofer. $40 I think.
Stern Spike 2 headphone kit. This gives you external volume control for speakers and / or headphones including a 3.5mm jack and knob at the coin door. Adjustable in settings what the knob controls (headphones, speakers or both) I have this and it works very well. $99. I think this may be on backorder
Quoted from dtown:What if I want to do both? Can I just buy the Stern and add the sub out jack from there? Basically I want to add a sub AND I want to have a headphone hookup when I want it quieter.
I have a feeling I’m gonna end up buying the Stern kit for the headphones and use a line out converter off the bottom speaker for the sub like I did with my Getaway.
Yes you can do both.
Quoted from Kisco:I have a question about the flippers, I watched a video on the pro and when the button was held half way the BOTTOM flipper was up and the top flipper didn't move, but on my premium when the button is held half way the TOP flipper goes up and the bottom flipper doesn't move. If there is a way to change this please let me know as it makes cradling almost useless.
There are two switches on the end of each flipper button. Make sure the gaps are correct for each. Common issue - I don’t think the are settting these gaps right at the factory.
Quoted from cscmtp:anyone near western NC? My left flipper has always been weak. Just doesn't have the same feel or power that the right flipper has. No idea how to fix it, looking at it under the playfield I don't see a difference or anything that looks out of place. Driving me nuts and makes the right ramp shot so f'n hard to make compared to the left ramp! I'll set you up for the night in one of our nice rental cabins if anyone can come out and help
Did you check the end of stroke switch? Maybe it’s engaging too early cutting off the power.
Quoted from Who-Dey:I’ll be talking to them monday again. The only speaker that sounds bad is the one in the cabinet and i put another speaker in and it sounds like garbage too so that rules out a bad speaker. Ive lost my bass and i miss those sound effects.
There are audio settings in 1.05 code including 4 /8 ohm (impedance) and crossover points for bass. Double check those also.
