Joined the club somewhat unexpectedly, but very happy to have a NIB pro before the big price increases come January.

I know sterns being running some older accessories and they seem to still be making art blades and shooter rods for this game. Is anyone aware if the toppers will be re-run?

Quoted from Pin_Fandango:

what kind of material are the using for this? is this mylar? does not seem to be

I know cliffy has a carbon fibre protector for this space. Wondering if it can just go straight on a newer build right out of the box.

Joined the club recently, love this game. Game is level, just started noticing that the ball doesn’t clear the loop when firing with the auto plunger, it hits the entrance and post, then bounces up towards the sarcophagus. Pitch is 6.5. I’m not sure what else I should be checking so that the auto plunge fires cleanly to the loop.

Quoted from Anony:

Some people followed the official Stern adjustment instructions and it worked

This was fantastic advise. Auto plunge is super smooth now, clean into the loop 100% of the time!

For anyone with a newer build, my thin metal stern ball ramp protector in the orbit peeled right off after about 200 plays. Put down the cliffy carbon fibre protector in its place. Much better solution IMO, no issues at all.

Quoted from delt31:

So good news. I fixed it by just pushing up on the exit of that ball guide with a grip tool and that was just enough to have both auto and manual work .
Really appreciate all the additional detail - good to have for the future
This was why I had an issue in the first place although I think it was worth it as I like the red!

Red looks amazing on the game. I may be a bit biased though (here’s a pic of mine).

Any thoughts from anyone? Shooter lane guide is a bit loose, auto plunge works ok but manual plunge hits the upper flipper. So went to look at the screw tightening the ball guide down. Seems to have chewed up the hole a bit was lots of sawdust and the hole is now larger than the screw. Use a slightly bigger screw now, some wood glue, or?

Quoted from Hammerhead1550:

A quick and easy fix (I'm not saying it's the best) is to take a wooden match stick, clip it to the size you need (the depth of the hole so it ends up flush with the playfield) put it into the hole, and then reinstall the screw. The match stick makes up for the stripped hole, and gives the screw something to bite into. The same thing goes if you have a stripped screw into a piece of sheet metal, only difference is you use a metal paper clip instead.

After a bit of research (and thanks for all the suggestions) settled on a method similar.

Had some Elmer’s wood glue, small dab of this with a couple of toothpicks. Letting the glue set a bit longer, will sand it down to be even and then hoping it holds nice and tight again.

Filed down. New screw hole set. Got the guide set perfect and a nice tight screw again! Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
