Just ordered a Iron Maiden Pro, really wanted to get a premium but the mixed reviews with out of the box adjustments scared me off. I dont mind tinkering but If I had to do it fesh out the box I would be un happy.

#6060 4 years ago

Finally have my IMDN pro. came from another local pinhead since mine was trashed in shipping.

been a while since I've played can someone confirm the order of flipper staging for left and right. seems off to me.

#6062 4 years ago

maybe the left right statement was confusing. my game has half push on L or Rbutton activates coresponding upper flipper full push in is lower flipper and upper. going to do some investigation I thought it was backward. either leafs out of adjustment or assembled wrong when last owner put in glow buttons

#6064 4 years ago

Just finished adjusting them. all better now and can hit center ramp with right flipper now. thanks

I'd say they are centered over the holes. I am the second owner of this pin so I cant say for sure if they have been removed at any time.

Quoted from Yfichelle:

Hi all ;o)
My left flipper is too weak and impossible to reach the ramp... i have dismounted all the flipper assembly, verify the coil stop, verify the gap with the playfied, verify the EOS... all seems ok...
I think to replace the coil for a stronger. But with which coil ? Actually the reference is : 090-5020-30-ND
Thanks for your help.
Yannick

did you verify flipper power settings in service menu

I'm not up to speed on coil PNs

#6204 4 years ago

I guess from my automotive background I would swap coils side to side if problem follows it's the coil if it stays it's in the mech or solenoid elec control

#6219 4 years ago

I just waxed my PF I'm 2nd owner as well. half 3/4 plunge for me will make full loop up top and back to lower flippers.

before waxing ball was super erratic on plunge.

my pro has orange spring

#6239 4 years ago

Welcome, once I added the external sub to mine it's hard to keep me away.

Welcome to the club!!

#6298 4 years ago

make sure the screws for the opaque milky white cover are not hitting weights on shaker. that happened on my munsters prem. It actually smoked cabinet node 1

#6299 4 years ago

you can power the shaker with 12v dc from a car battery, to verify. did your kit have the anti slam capacitor? perhaps that connection got flipped and shaker is on wrong terminals

#6300 4 years ago

oops

#6308 4 years ago

So im deeply in love with my IMDN pro, I also have a ST Premium and have owned a Munsters Premium.

What games to you guys have that keep you coming back for more like IMDN

#6310 4 years ago

Ac/dc pro was on location at my favorite watering hole. loved the game but partially because I could be aggressive with it. I felt the ball physics were off. same issue with another one on location near me, felt like the ball was a super ball

Also not trying to derail this thread just looking for input from like minded owners.

Best game yet amazing ball 1 for me then fizzled out ended at 577mil.
both pics at end of ball 1 going into extra ball 1

I struggle to hit left and right ramp consistently

In the far back middle loop to the left of the up post, see video in post before this...

Anyone have the part number for this plate?
The one that replaces worn mylar on rear loop/orbit under sarcophagus.
Sent an email to stern and got an immediate response and a warranty order number. I will update if it has a part number.

#6403 4 years ago
Quoted from beergut666:

All I sent them to get mine was the serial number and build date of my game. This was after I'd previously been given a full sheet of mylar, cut out for all areas of the playfield once before when the issue first started with the old mylar bubbling up in the loop.

I should be all set, stern said they would ship it out. That being said I never received the wireform and herman protector for my Munsters Prem

#6440 4 years ago
Quoted from JonCBrand:

I should be all set, stern said they would ship it out. That being said I never received the wireform and herman protector for my Munsters Prem

upper loop plate came yesterday.
Installation was a breeze, mylar peeled off in one piece just a bit of cleaning and dropped it in

#6443 4 years ago

Struggling to find the Part Number for the rubber bumpers that go at the top of the back box where play-field rests when in full vertical service position.
Link to seller or PN would be greatly appreciated.

Quoted from Whifflebat:

I just noticed that my orb target on my Pro appears to be leaning to the left, making it slightly harder to hit. I assume it's been forced that way slowly over time after repeated hits. This is my first pin, so I'm pretty inexperienced even with minor adjustments. Any suggestions on how to fix this so it is more centered?
[quoted image]

Mezel mods sells what they call a target splint, it braces the target so it cant lean.
Very cheap and quick install.

#6855 3 years ago
Quoted from Kkoss24:

Thanks bud I think that’s what I’ll go with.By the way is there any kind of market for the stock glass to sell n recoup some $.Just wondering and what would the value be on that thanks again for the help!

keep the stock glass so you can put it back in when you sell and keep the HD for new game

minimal market value for stock glass

#6894 3 years ago

Anyone start with a pro and move to premium? I love my pro but thinking about getting a NIB premium while I can. I beleive I will own a version of this indefinitely.

#6907 3 years ago

Thanks for the input. I'll wait till one pops up local

#6920 3 years ago

anyone regularly get balls stuck on drop target bank. Id bet it happens 1 in 5 games for me. set my tilt bob low so I can advise the ball off the target instead of waiting for ball search.

#6923 3 years ago
Quoted from Thunder90:

Under the playfield there is a screw that adjusts the height of the drop target bank. Pretty easy to find, but I can get you a picture if needed. Mine was the same way. Super quick fix to keep the game flowin

I'll have to check that target bank screw.

another spot im getting stuck balls is just left of the right up post. I think the stainless wear plate vs up post hole makes a nice ball rest

I also have a few GI leds flickering on my pro, have new leds on order but I'm 98% its a terminal issue. I use stabilant 22 on alot of oem terminals in the automotive field fixed tons of intermittent issues with it. ill add some drops of that and test.

#6931 3 years ago
Quoted from Gogdog:

Just to be clear...we are all talking about this? ->

I don't see how adjusting the drop target height (mine is flush with PF) would fix this...

yes thats what happens to me

Quoted from tbaum:

Just got my IMDN pro and wanted to add a shaker motor to it.
Is this the one to get?
I see that pinball life also has this one which they call a 'real shaker'.
Anyone have thoughts on these?

Mine has real knocker in it, sounds great. But might be set up wrong only knocks on coin inserts.

thats awfully cheap for an OE Stern Shaker. it may be aftermarket, since it says stern reference part numbers. They are good people there id just ask if its oe.
If it is OE I'm in for a few.

#7140 3 years ago

Knocker is exactly that makes a loud knock snap noise one time.

not worth the time or money IMO

#7142 3 years ago
Quoted from tbaum:

Ah good to know! Sticking with the shaker... I've played an IMDN with it and the wife and I loved it. Glad I asked!

Let us know what pinball life says about that shaker, if its OEM that a great deal.

#7147 3 years ago
Quoted from tbaum:

It's not an OE Stern - it's their own custom build

Thank you

I'd bet its nearly identical looks that way. who knows could be same supplier

Im going to do a deep clean on my Pro over the next few weeks, haven't been playing it much so figured it would keep me busy.
HUO but 2000 or so plays
Game has been great with zero issues aside from flickering bulbs hoping some adjustment of the bulb base will fix that.
Anything you have seen that should just be done while Im going into it?
I have coil stops, bulbs and a decent assortment of rubbers on hand.

#7799 3 years ago

Loading now, not even going to read the readme, more fun to find the new stuff playing.

#7813 3 years ago
Quoted from tktlwyr:

Full/Verify update has deleted all my settings and high scores.

Thats normal.

#7934 3 years ago

This new code has started a fire under me. Tomorrow morning I'm going full on, cleaning, fixing loose bulb sockets and replacing rubbers as needed.
Stern crew really delivered on this code, I couldn't be happier.

#7936 3 years ago
Quoted from mikeking:

It motivated me to fiddle around and get my ball launch adjusted again. Seems like that thing needs re-adjustment every few months.

I must be a lucky one, had mine for 10 months or so, never had to adjust launch. anytime it stopped loading the upper posts for ball lock I would clean the PF and back to perfect.

#7947 3 years ago
Quoted from red-line:

What do you guys use to clean your pf? Novus 1/2?

Novus 1 is my go to.

#7949 3 years ago
Quoted from Lethal_Inc:

I’m having the same issue with a bulb that keeps going off and on in the left in lane closest to the flipper. It’s annoying as hell. Every time the ball hits the slings it flashes on or off. Tried pulling the spring many times so I’m gonna try the solder dab and see if that works.

Crimp bulb base and apply stabilant 22a to terminal and side posts. I've found the center solder terminal on bulbs to be the issue. The stabilant 22a is a contact enhancer. I use it on lots of automotive terminals.

#7954 3 years ago
Quoted from Lethal_Inc:

Yes I have tried squeezing the round lamp holder as well. Still flickers.

take a look at the pic of bulb I posted, that groove in the solder is where the issue is.

Quoted from Kkoss24:

Novice 1 on PF.I havnt cleaned any of my cabinets yet is novice 1 a good choice for tgat as well ?

I dont clean the cabinets other than just dry microfiber for dusting. so cant give any advice there.

#7960 3 years ago

Anyone know what length this standoff should be for center support of left wire form? This one is 1.5"
Searched manual couldn't find a spec
Seems long and preloads wireform lifting exit of ramp.
2nd owner so might be normal or someone's mixup.

#7983 3 years ago
Quoted from MJW:

Same problem here.

get a bottle of that stabilant 22a. did all my bulbs this morning, just a drop on base and one side post. 20 games in no issues.

Its not cheap but it works. I will do all my connections for boards next time they wig out.

#8160 3 years ago

Ive had an issue in 2 games where the left up post stays up until the machine goes into ball search.
I think its when you start a mode up ramp shot seems like the machine forgets to drop the up post.
I cant remember when, but I will make notes next time.

Looking for the plastic figure that mounts on top of pop bumper cap by left ramp.
Pro model
Previous owner added a bunch of neca figures and I didnt care for them.
Id like to buy just that part rather than $190 set of plasic.

The post with the stern part numbers is here:
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/up-the-irons-the-iron-maiden-pinball-official-owners-club/page/48#post-4579729

Thank you, I saw that post when I searched but just looked at the picture of the right ramp and assumed it wasn't what I was looking for.
That seems like a reasonable option.

#8326 3 years ago
Quoted from RC_like_the_cola:

Previous owner didn't keep the plastic? Perhaps they put it in the goodie bag. Might be worth a look if it is still stapled inside. Is the cyborg plastic still intact?
Side note I thought was amusing. When I was deep into arcade video collecting, I used to love de-converting games to original glory. Like a DK that was converted to some jamma shooter or something. I feel like buying second hand HUO pins is kinda like that these days. I have to spend an evening removing toys/mods and restoring a game to it's original factory condition and it's only a couple years old lol.

I checked all the bags, no luck. Cyborg is gone too, Ill probobly order the prem/le items.
I agree on the de-modding, some stuff I like but there are other items that just dont do it for me.
I pulled the clothed figures and guitar off the game and stored them for the next owner, (if I ever sell it which is unlikely)

I did a basic check of network cables no change.
Any quick ideas before I dive deeper.

Im leaning towards a poor network cable. I will update as if it happens again.

Should this game come with playfield alignment brackets? My cab has pre drilled holes for them, but no brackets. I had a lot of trouble with GZ shooting consistently due to missing brackets. Wondering if I should put some in.

Mine from the latest run does not have the alignment tabs either. I had to shift playfield all the way to the right to get a good manual plunge, even after adjusting shooter housing all the way left.
