I've noticed some similar issues for a long time as well, I think since the last code update. The music sounds a bit hollow or distant, and some of the sound effects seem mixed too loud and cause a bit of distortion or crackling. The voice callouts sound perfect though. It hasn't been significant enough for me to try much besides messing with audio settings a bit, which didn't really help much. I'm also not playing it overly loud either, volume 11.
Did you end up finding a solution without adding/changing hardware? Anyone else feel free to chime in also.
