So I got my IMDN premium all set up and recently ordered a shaker motor from Pinball life. I got it installed and plugged it in to the correct spot that says shaker motor on the board and the machine doesn’t even recognize it? Is it possible I have a bad motor? I checked the connections everything looks good other than that the game plays fantastic. Any ideas, just for giggles I ordered a new one to see if that’s it. I installed the exact same one on my Star Wars comic Pro so I’m pretty sure I know what I’m doing just not sure if it’s the game or the motor?
Quoted from finnflash:You need to go into settings, it may be turned off
I did that and Star Wars recognized the shaker right away. It acts like it’s not even there. Settings were set to max on shaker menu
Quoted from PinMonk:Adjustment (#1, game-specific options) choices are:
NONE
Minimal
Moderate
Long Use
Maximal
Yep I have been there done that have it set to max but shaker still coming up as optional it might be just a bad motor so I ordered another one hopefully that’s the issue otherwise I’m at a loss.
Quoted from PinMonk:It says optional even once you select a setting. That's normal.
Well now I am at a loss I’m pretty sure my Star Wars Pin says “installed” once it’s actually hooked up but I could be wrong maybe iron maiden is different I think I’ll have to try the 12 V battery route just to verify.
Quoted from PinMonk:Are all the CN2 pins lined up correctly with the connector (not shifted one pin)? Red wire loop on the left and blue loop on the right when plugged in?
Do you have a picture of it plugged into the board with the CN2 connector?
Yes everything was set exactly
like SW and no pins bent, I pulled the shaker out for now so don’t have a pic. I was thinking the connector may not have pierced the wires enough to make it through wire insulation on the orange connector. I’m about to hook it up to a battery to see if she spins at all.
Quoted from PinMonk:Stuff comes loose (screws, etc) under the playfield, but that can happen from flipper vibration, too.
I helped an operator with all his route pins for about 5 years (up until just a couple months ago) and all of them had shaker motors. The machines were well-maintained (by me), but we never had a shaker-related problem with any of them, and they got a LOT more shaking on location than one will ever get in a home environment.
I was finally able to get my shaker working. Had to get a new shaker though. Much better experience on top of an already amazing pin! Yes I did add the cover to the shaker .

Yep! Drove me nuts! Thought I was doing something wrong
Does anyone have experience here with the black Pinball that says “Eddie Lives” on it? Recommended or
No?
Quoted from BillySastard:Are you talking about the black pearl balls from Back Alley? If so, I bought a few for a couple of games a number of years ago, and I'll never get them again. It was cool to look at for about a day, then I started realizing how hard they were to follow.

Yep pretty sure that’s the same one. I just bought one, maybe because I am bored.
Quoted from snappahead:Very happy to say I joined the club today. It's one of the most fun pins I've played. I love it.[quoted image]
Score! Here’s to keeping the economy going!
Quoted from PinMonk:That's a HUGE change in gameplay. The ball is supposed to be directed to the upper left flipper.
I agree I don’t think anybody has developed a legit mod for that area on the premiums and LE’s yet correct?
Quoted from Eskaybee:WOZ and IMDN are 2 extremely sweet pins for a 2 pin lineup! I’m working dad and husband; while we don’t always have time to play our games, it’s comforting to know they are in the house, ready to be played at a moment’s notice. Cheers
Agree 100 percent! I have the same pins! Started with Star Wars which was an uneducated impulse buy but moved on to MMRLE, IMDN and WOZ in a very short timeframe.
