Quoted from kermit24:

...I noticed they were putting the legs and head bolts on using sockets attached to drills and they jacked up a head bolt of my buddies IMDN by basically stripping out one of the head bolt threads completely. Thought this may be some over zealous lightning of the legs.

Since tightening the leg bolts puts equal pressure on the inside and the outside of the cabinet at the same time over tightening the bolts can't be a factor in cabinet splitting. The threads will strip before any wood damage.

Quoted from way2wyrd:

... ball getting stuck on the top loop against the metal bracket. Any fixes for that?

The post rubber sticking up? I'd try gluing it onto the post. You could drill and tap it, add a flat top machine screw and washer if you really want to get creative.
Seems like the rubber may be a little thick, getting hung up on the playfield when the post goes down. Maybe a thinner rubber would solve it?

Quoted from gliebig:

Between the lower left spinner and the left sling is a stand up target with a cross on it. What does that do?

It's one of the set of standups you complete before you can activate 2x playfield.

Quoted from dangerwil:

Going to let it set for a bit to cure playfield. Left it open last night and the whole house smelled like clear coat this morning. Mine shipped with .97 code.

Quoted from trilamb:

New to the hobby, getting my premium this week. Just curious what this means and why you would do this. Thanks!

It means he thinks it's beneficial to give the playfield finish extra time to cure beyond the weeks or months it sat at the factory before Stern installed it. It's unlikely to have any discernible effect.

Quoted from Doctor6:

...has anyone considered replacing the songs with their instrumental versions? That way you still get the songs without the singing?

If you're going to the trouble of replacing songs why bother with music you don't like? You would have to create your own instrumental versions of the songs if your goal is a song of the same length with any snippets in the same place in case they are used for other sound effects, they don't currently exist. I would think karaoke software is most likely to do that.
