What PinGraffiix has done for IMDN looks bright enough
They Just need to make a premium set that pops now

Question for the group, what is the easiest/cheapest way to step up the sound quality a bit, without an external sub? I need to read back through the thread focusing more on sound improvements. It sounds good stock, but seems just a little "tinny" our something. Just looking for a little improvement, I'm not an audiophile. Not sure if just a replacement cab woofer is the way to go, or if the head speakers are needed too/instead for the best bang for your buck.

I was not an IM junkie before playing the game - and found it so fun I bought it. It's got incredible flow, so much excitement -- really really really fun. While I think that if you're an IM fan it's even more amazing, it's amazing regardless of whether you connect with the theme. And while I didn't know their music very well before, I actually enjoy the music now that I'm listening to it all the time.

I would go with the 8”. Also it should come with anti-rattle tape for the edges of the glass.

I ordered the 10" flipper Fidelity set. The subwoofer in my AC DC doesn't cause any glass rattling problems so I'm not too concerned.

Showed up at noon, upgraded to 1.00.0 and played some Maiden. I got 250M on my second game, so I am thinking I have some adjustments to make. It was multiball madness.

Disable EB’s, turn off all regular ball saves, turn all MB ball save times to 5 seconds, Eddie letter difficulty to medium, Mummy MB to zero letters at start and set decounce to 750. That’s how my game is setup.

Artwork on IMDN is definitely better for me, but there is a bit too many balls and craziness for my brain right now. This may change as I learn it and adjust, but so far I like the general play/flow of AC/DC better (I am sure I will get burnt on a stake for saying that).

The IMDN playfield feels a bit underlit to me out of the box and I think the sound might even be better on the AC/DC? Is that nuts?

Too early to tell. It is a really fun pin.

A couple of months ago I picked up my IMDN and went to pick up a nicely modded MET from a seller the next day. I was pinching myself that whole weekend. I still can't believe it.

Get a shaker, integration is great and youll love it. I recommend pbl shakers as they are less expensive but better designed than the stern shakers. It has a bolt you can tighten on the motor housing too if it rattles compared to the stern shakers which do not have that bolt.

I had to drill and install a bolt and lock washer to a stern shaker installed by my dist which sounded like a lawnmower when I got it. After installing I can now feel my shaker instead of the whole house hearing it.

Nice - I dig the gold trim!

I'd add lighted flipper buttons too and do an LE one better.

I have a Pro, and the auto-plunger usually shoots the ball all the way around the loop. However when I manually plunge, I'm lucky if it gets to the top of the loop where it falls down and rolls to the upper-left flipper - I can hit it roughly 50-60% of the time. However I thought I read other people talking about plunging in a way that doesn't make it go all the way around the loop - something I can never do.

Is there something I should be doing with the manual plunger to make it better? Or is this how it's supposed to be?

The ball must be bouncing off the guide rails. Unscrew and adjust your manual plunger.

You've just walked into the holy quest for plunger equilibrium. You can get the manual working right, or the auto--but unless you are lucky not both.
