After a year of having mods, I finally got into putting them in last week; shooter rod, "flipper stickers," orb light up sphere and colored lens tree for the modes...but did the color coding change on the game, or did I get some janky lens tree?

Pin monk's is color correct, but the one I have is not. I bought it over a year ago and don't have the label where it's from so I cannot recall the maker, and I didn't order it from pinside apparently.

No I only have the Aces High Topper. Both toppers are fairly basic, and I agree that the Egypt one does tie in with the theme better. I'm happy with the Aces High though - its something different and I'd say the pin has enough of a Egyptian theme going on as is.

Finally adjusted my upper right flipper so it delivers to the lower right rather than the top of the slings and it's a very nice improvement to the flow of the game.

I also managed my second ever mummy/trooper multiball combo. It feels so good to nail that shot and then going right into trooper with 5 balls was awesome.

And to show how bad I am at pinball I finally managed to get 2 super skill shots in one game so I could put my name on the leaderboard for that one. I've had the game like 3 years and only finally just managed that feat

Don't you get 4 balls doing that trick? Maybe I'm missing something, long day at work already.

You're probably right. I thought it gave you the three from trooper plus two more for mummy but it was pretty hectic so I probably just miscounted.

If you have mummy ready to go, and 2 locks on trooper, you graze the mummy captive ball on the way into your 3rd trooper lock and it'll give you 4 ball trooper. It doesn't stack them together. Mummy will be ready when you're out of Trooper. At least that's how the premium works.

Is yours installed upside down? If it's mine, that's a common error. Post a pic of the install and I can talk you through it if it's mine.

Poor Man’s Mode-Insert Lens Tree:

* Piece of card stock cut/punched to match standoffs and LED’s

* A few miscellaneous color-correction gels

* Scotch filament tape

(Colors will likely be changed; this is the first combination.)

Better have some spacing between the led and filter plastic.

You definitely need space between the LED and gel or the LED will fade a square hole in the gel pretty quickly.

New Aces High topper on the way. Can't wait to put it on. In the span of a few months I've gone from zero toppers to 3 of 4 machines having one. Feel like I may have these 4 for a while, unless somebody tosses out a Rush trade for LZ. But then I'd be on a quest for the HTF Rush topper!

Don't feel bad, it's a common mistake. Recently I've made that tab at the Icarus end taller so it doesn't fit right if you put it upside down. It's much nicer when the mode tree matches the colors of the arrow inserts for each mode.

Does anyone know if they will re-release the armor for IM? They released the topper again and machine again but doesn't appear armor? JP and Elvira had a re release of it. So I'm surprised it's not coming again.

I did not hear buzz about a run of the rails, no, but I don't read sites like Knapp Arcade all that often so I'm out of the loop. If I remember correctly, these are your basic lollipop rails with a semi-shredded Union Jack in red/white/blue surrounding the flipper buttons. No disrespect, but it's decidedly color-coordinated for the PRO, not the Premium. I would wager that it didn't sell all that well because I rarely see sets on pins in the owners- or hype threads. Do you? I would even call them rare.

Spinner Award During Fear of The Dark:

So, I have been making an effort to boost this award, but I'm not making all that much progress.
I do realize that hitting extra purple shots *before* I rip the spinner can double/triple the award, and I know that the left spinner awards double, but somehow my record award is just 42K(M?). It's great just how buttery the left spinner is if you hit it cleanly on the fly, rather than from a trap.

What is your record award?

You should cut out holes for speaker the speaker panel..especially for a music pin, you don't wanna ruin the sound! Try pulling it off and on with music on and see what a difference it makes. I cut holes in mine wasn't that hard.

Those panels have speaker holes in them…it’s the subwoofer underneath you don’t see!!

He meant holes as in cut out the entire circle sp the speakers are not blocked. Its still a thick mesh muffling them even if there are tiny holes. Will be night and day uncovering them.

But I like my speaker panel cover….I don’t want to ruin it….

Looking for custom apron cards.
I searched here for "apron cards" and found basically nothing.
Searched the IMDN mods thread for the same thing and, again, nothing.
Where are they hiding? Am I using the wrong term? Are they "rules cards" and not apron cards?
I would love to print some off and enliven my apron.

I didn’t like any of the options I found here, so I made a couple of my own with high res images and sized correctly for printing (padded room Eddie and trooper/British flag Eddie), with no rules or text. LMK if anyone wants me to find and post those.

Funny that the game I say will be the last to leave, still has the yellow cards from the factory before they started putting good ones in there.

aces high / mariner… any tips for these modes? I kind of just play them and never score well or have beaten them. The other modes I can all beat somewhat easily.

Get better at juggling balls and saving one on a flipper. Use addaballs wisely. Don't miss your shots Start ball saver before you start, or have it ready to go.

Is there a way to manually start the ball saver? I thought it always just started with the start of the modes that have it.

I think it looks cool. But it's a thick magnet. Definitely having a adverse effect on the sound..Just put a song on and peel it back and forth and see if you can tell the difference.

I like the look with speakers exposed.
You can also buy a version from wiz mods that has holes for speakers. But it’s for LE and made for 5” opening.

Anyone have a pic of the aces high topper on a premium? Seems weird that stern is not making the Egyptian topper since that’s the them they are currently making on the machines themselves. Maybe they will run it again someday.
