Quoted from Kidkoffee:

Bought these from Maiden’s website on clearance back when I ordered the game. Just installed and added a light strip around Somewhere In Time Eddie. Really like the way it turned out. Pic looks pretty cool but doesn’t do it justice. Maybe I’ll snap one with the glass off next time.

Thanks man! Really happy with it, and absolutely loving this game!

Are the new run of maidens exactly the same? I was wondering if maybe they would update the premium and add an option for expression lights.

yeah 0% chance for that for a few reasons:
1. Would cause rage among the 90% of people who bought it before, as you can't really have people try to route out a channel in their cabinets.
2. people who code that are busy working on other machines that they're trying to sell (don't spend dev resources on things that you don't need to sell... this IMDN prem run is already sold)
3. parts availability or production bottlenecks. They can't even offer FF Prem expression lights yet. Some rush people still waiting too i think.

Joining the club with a sorta impulse buy of a floor model Pro from the Northwest Pinball Arcade Show (Next Level Pinball distro, my second from them). I've enjoyed playing on location and was very glad to see another production run happen. Looking forward to enjoying this at home. I've had the itch to put something new in the game room and it was down to this, Deadpool, and Foo. All fun games but the floor model IMDNs at the show were calling my name. Up the irons!

You'll never regret that purchase. Get out the floor bolts just like all the rest of us - that Beast ain't goin' anywhere!

Congrats and welcome to the Dark Side

Just joined the club!
My Pro is sitting in the box, taunting me for the rest of the workday lol

Quick question: I see all the new Pro owners with photos showing the game with IC already installed. Is that standard for this new run?

The figures are still available?

I just found the Somewhere in Time on eBay. Here's the exact figure on there if you want to look at it, for a really good price: ebay.com link: itm

Or search something like ... "IRON MAIDEN LEGACY OF THE BEAST SOMEWHERE IN TIME CYBORG EDDIE FIGURE"

Here's the Piece of Mind Eddie I installed on mine straddling the left ramp. It looks damn good!

Not available on site anymore. I bought back in January on clearance for $10 each (!!) but wasn’t sure how I was gonna use them. I just hate paying for expensive mods…

That eBay price is still good for what you get. Really well done pieces. There are a bunch of these. Fear Of The Dark looked awesome but was sold out. I still have the beast Eddie and a good idea what I’m gonna do with it, but a little more involved. Also found a clairvoyant and another figure on eBay that I’m gonna chop up and use. I’ll post pics when done. Cyborg definitely worked the best. Fit that spot with barely any trimming, and sturdy enough to just drill and mount on the existing bracket. Just need (2) 4-40 5/8” or 3/4” machine screws. Trooper I just drilled a single hole to slide over the post (5/16” I think), then just used removable tape to keep from shifting. Good luck guys!

Got the McFarlane 2002 Peace of Mind Eddie. It was $67usd heavily used from halfway around the world, but I put a coat of paint on it and am gonna cut some more chain to chain him to the pop bumpers.

I was looking for that Egyptian Eddie all over Ebay, but I struck out. If I could find him I would attach him to the light post on the left that lights up the Egyptian statue on the back. Any help would be greatly appreciated fellas.

Are you referring to Powerslave Eddie? I have one - but my 6 yr old plays with him like some macabre doll. He loves it and loves the pinball. It's a lot taller than I thought it would be (about 12")

Can anyone tell me if the new Iron maiden runs come with the orbit protector for the center ramp?

No sir, I was thinking of the one that is pictured holding the staff that's sitting on top of the pop bumper in the picture above. He would fit in the area perfectly, but I can't find it anywhere.

The figures are from the Legacy of the Beast blind box set and the Pharaoh one is probably the hardest one to find for sale (and usually the dearest). There was a guy from the US selling these on Ebay but it looks like his add is gone now.

I'm pretty sure they've been including those from the factory for a while now, but I bought mine second hand so I can't confirm. (Stern still honored the warranty to me and sent me one for free)

Most would recommend getting the Cliffy carbon one anyways since the metal one that Stern uses doesn't seem to hold up very long.

Yep, that's him. Love love love those mods, especially those flipper toppers. Where did you get them if you don't mind me asking? I ordered some on Pinside and they were suppose to be 3D printed, but they ended up being nothing but stickers. So disappointing!

That pharaoh Eddie is perfect for the premium version. I'll keep hunting eBay I guess.

Flipper toppers were made by me and i will be doing another batch of them sometime this year. At present doing some shooter rods of various types but after that lot i'm hoping to get back to the flipper toppers again. I have 12 sets molded, just not started painting them up. BTW they are cast from a mold using 2 part liquid resin, same as the shooter rods i do. I'm still not a huge fan of the 3D stuff yet although it is improving.

How did you do the light up eyes? That looks awesome.

#13181 3 months ago
Quoted from DrMark12PA:

Very carefully drilled holes using a pinvise (a hand held mini drill specifically for bits less than 1.5mm) and a 0.8mm drill bit (finished with a 1mm) from the eyeball side to the back of the head. I angled them inwards to as close to a center point at the back of the head i could manage so i could just use 1 solo 3mm LED. Drill the back of the head between the 2 points to about half the depth (perhaps a touch more) and then the LED was hooked up to the flasher underneath the center ramp. The base is cut down to a wedge shape from the original circular base that come with the figures. It was painted a sand colour around the sides and then real beach sand was stuck to the top. Sand was mixed with PVA glue to a slightly mushy texture, applied and left to semi dry. Before it was fully dry i stuck the figures tootsies in the mix to create the "impression" The wire for the LED is super fine and runs down the figures back and then down the rear leg, then runs through a drilled hole under/just behind the foot. I did make about 6 of these for sale here in Oz also but they are long gone.

Noted! I sold the original batch of these as a complete set of 4. At this stage NO idea when i'll get another batch completed but it's definitely in the mod queue

Quoted from EricInAlaska:

I hope he gets it to all the way thru to production at a decent price point. I’ve already called Dibs on one for sure.

I'll finish it, just a matter of how long some of the features take to build. I'll end up making two versions, but even the animatronic version should be very fairly priced for what it will include (if I end up getting everything I want in it). Been messing with neck templates for the centerpiece, and this is vaguely what I'll have for the internal mechanical structure

Back in the club May 23 build.
Mylar in shooterlane, and trough eject turned down.
Time to dig in.

I'm finally in the club! Been wanting one since I first heard they were making them. A cancer diagnosis stopped me from buying one then. Colon Cancer is gone now, so this is my gift to me.

I made the switch from premium to pro and don't regret it. Had to move the premium for financial reasons and then a year or so later was able to pick up a pro at a discount. My biggest problem with the premium was the orb shot. No matter what I did I just could not keep that mech working. Nothing pissed me off more than having a decent game and hitting that shot to hear it thud and not register a hit. I almost got good enough to fix it without lifting the playfield. I loved the other parts of the premium but am okay without them. Every now and then I wish the ramp would lift and make that shot a bit easier but happy with the pro. Also happy that orb shot registers 100% of the time and sometimes it does register from the side as if the ball was there. Can't wait for the topper to arrive.

Quoted from Billygrippo:

What made you go from premium to pro….

At that time 3 years ago I was ready to move on from the game and pick up a different game. For me, the actual ball locks, lift ramp (I do miss lift ramp a bit) and orb captive ball wasn't enough to justify picking up another premium, which has a lot more stop and go.

JP and GZ premiums have a lot of stop and go as well vs their pro counterparts but I feel on those titles, the break is a welcome one.

How is the difficulty of this game ?

I am looking to get an easier pin since I’m fairly new to the hobby ; I like Iron Maiden music don’t love it but it doesn’t bother me ;

This may be my last chance to get a NiB pro I’ve decided;

Since this is supposedly the final run I take it this is a really polished and refined game

It can be difficult, but it can also be pretty forgiving, in my opinion it’s easy to enjoy and tough to master. Some of the shots are hard to learn, but there’s plenty of game there to keep pushing you toward those harder shots. Overall, the difficulty for progress is high, but I don’t feel like all you do is drain when you’re just playing casually either.

I have only played this on location and my favorite location has a premium and the location near my house has had a pro. I like the pro more and think it’s more friendly than JP and harder than GZ but it may be sk8balls best game to me
