I "painted" mine with shades of copper/gold/brown sharpie to make a good color match with the backboard. They're still visible screws of course, but at least they're not shiny silver. I've lost that "plug" that covers the big screw since I took this pic so I need to do the same thing there.

You'd need to get a spare replacement for AIQ. The lockdown bar on the IMDN doesnt have the center button. Hard to only get one piece coated, so if you do swap, you can later install the circuit stuff onto IMDN:

Yeah it's not really an update, it just overwrites the previous code. I wish it would be an actual update and could keep scores/settings without having to save them to a USB stick.
I finally installed the light strip into my pro to go along with the pharoah backboard. It looks good but I think the LED strip I chose is a little bright. A dimmer or warmer white would probably look better. It might also help to cut the strip down to two smaller ones and put one on the left and right sides. I might play around with that to see what looks best.
I tried to take a picture of where I installed it, there's a perfect spot for it right inside the black strip of plastic right above the backboard. I soldered on some wires to a connector to make it extra long to prevent snags and then soldered the connector to the back of the right most GI socket. Alligator clips worked just fine but I prefer to solder to avoid any possibility of something going wrong over time with all of the vibrations.

Yeah personally I think the warm white makes it look a lot better - I got mine from Comet who also have a dimmer you can plug in inline. Very handy/useful to get the exact effect you want.
I used a super bright spot light LED, then used an Amber Stage film gel over the light to find the hue I wanted to give it warmth and the right brightness. Worked pretty well I think. Better than any of the LED's I tried using to give that natural warm glow. Which none did. Even daylight/sunlight, or warm. Yellow was too yellow.
Any chance Stern could/would update to using optical spinners for the next run? Seems like the time to do so…

I think it helps gameplay as well. Played one game after it was installed. And for the first time ever ... Got to cyborg and 2 min to midnight in the same game. My friend got one too. So I had to paint 2 of them.

Added the option for folks not to lose the illumination on the newton ball. With the Y-splitter cable included, can do either light-up method.

Nice ! Where did you get that ? I like how that looks . I have not played it since November .After I put it back together I have an issue with both bottom flippers not working in switch test and auto plunge not working in coil test .I disconnected a couple things added during this time and wasn’t that .No tech alerts and everything else is working .I’ve been on with Sterns tech but no luck so far .They brought in a 3rd party tech but have not talked with him yet .I’m really hoping this gets resolved soon as I had to walk away at this point was taking up all my free time .I know it’s something simple just can’t figure it out yet .

Cliffy made me my first one then I purchased my own carbon fiber and did the others myself. He’s a busy dude to be F’ing with small custom pieces like that.

I was trying to update a friend's premium (currently at .97), and when I plugged the usb in, I got the note attached. "Spielcode-Update" seems like German to me, but I downloaded this right from the Stern website (I live in Canada). Any thoughts? It is a non-IC game, so have to do it by usb. Never had an issue in the past.

The two files there count as one total update. Its just split for whatever their system needs when the file size gets too large. The part where it just loops is a little weird.
Yeah, can try a full SD card image. If you have a spare SD card, would maybe try it with that to at least still have the original to fall back on.

Also, make sure both of those files were moved to the root directory of the USB drive
