Quoted from beergut666:

Joined the club last night, it's my first in home pin. Couldn't be happier with my purchase so far! Picture is from last night. GC score is now 431 million. Not exactly sure what a "good" score on this one is yet.

Hah that’s a great score man. I am having fun, but have trouble cranking out the high scores on this one. I think I have one 197mil game but it’s usually under 100mil here. I keep trying!

#502 3 years ago

Spent all day playing at Flippers Arcade and strugggled to put up more than 150million for most of the day as the right outlane is totally open and the left outlane is on normal but it feels like you could fit a bus in there! Lol. However, the last game before I left for the day, after playing for 4 hours, I got the GC! Woohoo! Game is so much fun. Those loops are addictive!!!

I think those are defaults. The right came in the top hole on mine with the left in the middle.

Quoted from Lermods:

Took me a month to get mine. I ordered the day it was announced, received Thursday.

That's basically what I was expecting. To find out its going to be another month yet... Very disappointing.

That sucks but look on the bright side, other pinball manufacturers take 1 year, 2 years, before you get your game, and in some cases you will never recieve it. Its going to be a long month for you though looks like.

#506 3 years ago

Sucks to have to wait but at least were in the game.

Take your sweet time Stern and flush out those premium/LE code.

Quoted from Coindork:

Maybe this is covered somewhere else, but with all the Iron Maiden threads these days it hards to keep track.
Anybody started adding mods to their machine yet?
Seems like there are a lot of possibilities and things you could do with this thing.
Especially so with all the models, McFarlane toys etc that have come out over the years.

I think black mirror blades for this game.

I think one of the most fun things about this game is that you have the ability to "blow it up" at any time. I was having a terrible game until ball 3 and then I caught fire during Flight of the Icarus mode! Best score yet.... And what sucks is that the EB lit off the mystery just seconds before my last drain. Love this game!!!

Was able to get some games in today! I typically don't care for music pins but I've always liked Iron Maiden. Loved the 4 flippers and game flow.Would like to add this to my collection ! Even my wife agrees!

If she agrees, take advantage of this wonderful opportunity by all means before she changes her mind. Pick up the phone now!

did a nice wipe down cleaning of my game this morning after 200 plays. There was something 'different' about this pin....it wasn't dirty! A wipe down certainly helps, but as I was wiping it down I couldn't help but notice how beautiful the play field looked. I noticed that that Keith hardly used any rubbers, he used a lot of posts instead; and the black sling rubbers looked different than the typical sterns. so there was very little dirt trails from the rubbers. Anyone else notice this?

#512 3 years ago

Spent the day at Retrovolt arcade playing IMD and just had a blast. I can’t wait for my machine to get here.

#513 3 years ago

It seems like Keith really put a lot of thought into this. Looks like more posts and less rubber being one of his ideas. I've never played any pin that plays like this one, the layout is really very cool.

I purchase a nib back in March, then about two weeks later I told someone loud enough so my wife could hear that I just ordered another pin. About one hour later my wife said, did you really buy another one. She didn't sound mad, so it was a green light. So make the call.

That Iron Maiden doll is cool! I can hear the parents now, "sorry kids we couldn't get you that Iron Maiden doll for Christmas because a bunch of 50 and 60 year old men bought them all up"

Just got my first Qunitiple jackpot! Holy shit the mb rules are good in this game. Better than LOTR dare I say?

#522 3 years ago

I bought one of these Somewhere in Time figures thinking about modding it.
I was thinking about replacing the plastic Eddie in the loop of the right ramp with this.
The arm has a servo in it so it moves up and down like he's firing shot and the eye lights up.
Only problem is the figure is 18inches tall and the the space you have to work with in that area is only 7 Inches.
When I get it in the mail I'm going to take it apart and see if I can cut it half below the chest and see if it will fit in that space.
Hopefully this can be accomplished without compromising the servo in the arm as I has hoping to wire it up to the machine.
Anyhow, we will see when it gets here.
If nothing else and it wont fit, I've got something rad to put up on one of the shelves.

Also bought one of these Live After Death Eddie figure to go over by the left ramp.
I figure it will look pretty good over there since part of it has the Live After Death color scheme.
The Piece Of Mind Eddie is going to replace that one on top of the pop bumper.
Im sorry but the plastics that the pro came with stock look cheap as hell and remind me of Shrinky Dinks from when I was a kid.

Those look awesome! They will look way better than the flat plastic eddies. I really hope you can get the cyborg to work! I think just the bust of cyborg Eddie would look good up there. Especially if you can get his arm servo working.

#525 3 years ago

F***k yea! Rest of my score was Shyt but best cyborg mb I’ve done. Made it up to 5X cyborg jp. Wish I had a multiplier going for that shot

Joined the owners club yesterday!! Got my pro. My very first NIB pin, big purchase for me but damn it was worth it.

Hard to tell from videos and such but when you actually play you feel how special this game is and just how interesting the play field is

Wired up the external subwoofer today and it sounds good. I would like to upgrade the internal speakers though. Anyone done that yet? I put a 10" kit into TSPP and the bass went up like crazy, I'm thinking IMDN needs that too

If you put a powered external sub on the game all you should need are some better Back box speakers.

Time to update avatar for IMDN.

38 days since I ordered my Maiden Pro from Nitro Pinball. Still nothing.

Sigh.

Hang in there, 36 days and counting here. Has anyone in Canada received a machine yet and who did you use if so? Had I gone with my usual guy it would have been here already. I am sure there is a good reason for the delay but communication could be better.

Got mine Tuesday from OC Pinball and just in time. They received three, and it's the last three until late June or July. Once I had everything setup and tuned (including a light tweek on a malfunctioning START button and reattaching a spade connector I found in the bottom of the cabinet) I installed a shaker motor and a 10" subwoofer.

I heard all the hype, followed the reveals, etc. and this Stern lived up to expectations.... maybe even surpassed them. I'm impressed this time (I am an owner of a SW, AERO, GB, etc.) with the metal ramps, four flips, two spinners, extra plastics, in addition to having more mature code then what we've been use to during their first shipments.

Also, impressed with giving back the playfield two front rails and adding in the back-of-playfield handle. Among other little surprises and benefits. Also liked the "back stage pass" rule guide available on the Stern site. Even this nice little note about signing up for CODE releases is appreciated (we'll see how well that works)

We've scheduled a small Cindo de Maiden party for this Saturday for the chosen few to break her in.

Lastly, even some-what knowing the rule set I'm having a hard time getting to the default GC (250,000) but hope to wipe it his weekend.

Yeah when I saw Infinite Dreams on there (+ Killers and Sanctuary) I had to have. It's a killer double cd I recommend highly.

Anyone know if this is the Premium or the LE cab art?

Quoted from Eskaybee:

So are there any shakers that do work?

About 40 games with my PPL shaker in mine and no issues. I have not updated to the "slam tilt prevention" code. The shaker works great - I have it on DEFAULT of EXTREME but it doesn't seem to extreme compared to the other Stern I have with shakers (Aero, SW and GB). Maybe future code updates with add more shaker action.

Quoted from Billy16:

If I recall this correctly, the auto plunge is designed to go all the way around.

Yes, that's the goal on an auto plunge.
And to get the SUPER SKILL shot you need to hold the left flipper up (which disables the normal skill shot)
Some have been increasing plunger spring to RED or ORANGE to help pinpoint SUPER SKILL.

Has everyone seen the "Backstage Pass" guide from Stern: http://sternpinball.com/upload/games/iron-maiden/pro/IM%20Backstage%20Pass%20Rules.pdf

What do you hit for the super skill shot?

Edit: nevermind, I see it in the backstage rules.

#541 3 years ago

It took me awhile to hit the super skill shot. Really had to put some oomph on the top left flipper!

Just got the mirrorblades in yesterday, now for the shaker and speakers...

Anyone locate the supposed line out audio connector? I dont see it

Dude, you’re right. It’s no where to be found but listed on the Stern comparison chart “New CPU mounted line-out audio connector for external amplification”. I hadn’t noticed because I installed a Pinovaters sub-out asap after unboxing. Dang.

Anyone find it ?
