I don't think I shared this before, but I put a black piece of paper behind the pharaoh face so the led only shines trough his eyes

http://www.flippers.be/iron_maiden_eddie_pharaoh.html

Easy and cheap mod that really improves the look.

blockquote cite="#5419517">Hi guys , I’m considering picking one of theses up probably a LE. My question is : is the game to easy ?
I’m a decent player and played the pin a total of 8-9 times and I’m on it for long periods of time. Just curious!

On stock settings it can play long. The nice thing about owning a game is that you can adjust settings and posts to make it play shorter and more difficult. I wouldn't let that hold you back.

You can play this game for along time because of its easy multiballs, but to actually complete the Eddie cards in multiball you have to make shots and not just keep the balls from draining. This pin has a great rule set and is pretty challenging to get to its mini wizard modes. The modes are all pretty different which makes it fun to play all of them. If and when you get to battle the beast that will put a smile on your face...it always puts a big smile on mine. I might be a little better then the average player but it’s never crossed my mind that this game is too easy. Hopefully you pick this one up...and if you like shooting loops this pin will satisfy that need.

A little too red for my tastes but I love the side blades!

Long ball times? Yes. Easy? No.
I've owned the game for over a year now. I'm an average skill level and I still have lots of things I have yet to achieve even though I can get about 30min long games pretty often.
Also, like others have said, you can toughen it up by changing the outlanes or like my distributor did at a tournament, take the rubbers off of the inlane posts

#5907 4 years ago

Thx everyone I really like but no matter where I play I seem get long ball times. So maybe the better question is : is this a game of long ball times ? I do love it. But not really wanting a 30 plus min ever time !
Jurassic park on the other I get my tail handed to me considerably more in the wild.
You guys are the best !

Gameplay question
Could someone give me a breakdown on how the power jackpot works? How does one best build it up to the high numbers? I dont actively watch it while playing so I cant quite sort out how it grows so large sometimes (aside from multipliers). I DO understand the multiplier part tied to the cyborg objectives, I just dont understand how the points are actually accumulated. Thanks.

AND ...

What is required to activate a Pharaoh Award (at the Pharaoh bullseye)?

What are "Bonus Meltdown" and "Spinner Meltdown"?

In settings, you can change to easy, medium, hard, etc

Any idea what the breakdown if differences are? Do they override individual settings already set such as ball save time, time for modes etc.

Try accomplishing this! Both upper flippers stopped working during a game. Pulled the pf up and wires were cleanly snapped off both flipper coils. It even took the lug with it!

My game is still under warranty. Should Stern be responsible for sending new coils to me?

One other question... I'm going to be replacing the left flipper switch. This is the matching part from PBL, but it has capacitors soldered on the ends.

Anyone know if I can use these, and just desolder the capacitors?

I don't know why you would want new coils. You'd just have to solder them on anyway. Just resolder them.

Looks like the coil lug came right off the coil. Def gonna want new coils, put new coil stops in too while you're at it.

Didn't see that! Well that's definitely warranty material. How strange..

Crazy, right? Both snapped off the same game. First the left went, and figured I'd see what I could do without it since I was having a good game. Next ball, the right flipper goes!

I'm in Canada, so getting parts usually involves me having to buy from the US and pay exorbitant shipping and duties.

Hoping Stern will send me some out. I plan to replace all coil stops, and also the rubber pads, as they put the wrong ones on my game.

May I ask in collecting room treasures is it normal for the ball just to roll off the top of the mummy lock when I have a ball locked in there?
Thanks

Yes, that's why that stacked plastic that guides the ball to the upper flipper is there.

I feel like I remember someone mentioning this in the past but is there a known bug in the audits?
My center drains are 3115
My left drains are 1862
My right drains are 975
That's seems like too large a variance to me but the left lane is hungrier.

Also while I'm here. Wth is the (?) hi score?

Shatz

#5924 4 years ago

AKA the Cross target above the left inlane.

#5925 4 years ago

How does it work then? I just know when I hit it she says "amazing!" I know nothing else about the function of this target lol

#5926 4 years ago
Quoted from KnockerPTSD:

Basically, the goal is to direct a ball coming to the left flipper backwards up the left inlane by holding the left flipper up so it hits the target. It spots one of the "X" toward the playfield multiplier and in modes and multiball can help you advance.

#5928 4 years ago
Quoted from KnockerPTSD:

At least I know what it does now but how do I achieve the hi score for (?) champ then? Mine still has the factory champ and I know I've hit it plenty of times. Sorry

It just goes off how many times you've registered a hit on the target in a single game. It's not super-common. I'm on the board with only 5 hits.

So...play better? Or at least, concentrate on guiding the ball to do that when it's heading for your left flipper.

Quoted from PinMonk:

Use the the right flipper super late to “shatz” the ball all the way up the left flipper inlane and hit the target.

That's the way i usually do it ...... mostly by accident

#5931 4 years ago

The Gravestone Target is very powerful. This nondescript target above the left inlane may not seem important, but hitting it with an alley pass can be extremely helpful. Making this combo will spot an “X” target during normal play or help you out if you’re in an Eddie Battle.

Also, when playing Fear of the Dark, after you shoot a purple arrow shot, the next satisfying shot on this game is ripping the upper spinner with the right flipper and letting it orbit all the way around back to the bottom right flipper and one timing the left spinner for insane points. It's very tough to do but it's awesome when you pull it off!

Thanks - fantastic topper! Now sold and soon to be enjoyed by another IMDN owner!

I would have kept it but I have no toppers on my other Sterns alongside it and I think this will go better with a Pro than my LE as the Trooper is already on the backglass. Gonna use the $ to buy some other cool mods instead!

#5938 4 years ago

U should send your wireforms to robert stone on pinside , look so much better in person and very fairly priced

Should my big loop feed to the bottom right flipper? Right now it feeds to the top of the right sling. If so, I guess you just change the position of the top right flipper to adjust the feed?
