3rd back from the front of Maiden tonight

Watch out up there. Just did about 10th row in Montreal. Spontaneous moshing and pushing all over the place. Was worth it. Incredible show! They've still got it.

Moshing at Iron Maiden?

You should, Sterns best game to date if you ask me.

I saw a little bit of that last night, but nothing like your video; a few guys crowd surfing, a little bit of shoving around, nothing serious. I don't understand, Maiden is not moshing music.
Fourth row from the floor, my ears are still ringing!
20190810_222939[1] (resized).jpgvlcsnap-2019-08-11-17h18m37s748 (resized).pngIs this just if your maiden doesnt have a post in this area? (Mine does)
Does it improve the clunkiness of the upper loop at all?
I'm looking to order the opto kit but I dont think i need this part.
Quoted from Tranquilize:Anyone replace the Mylar at the backside of the jump ramp? Mine's chewed to death. If so, how are you removing it? What about below the lifting ramp? Mine looks as though it is cutting through.
Follow up--
I went on the stern support page and sent them this question. Chas got back to me
orbit protector kit. The part number is 502-7087-00
He offered to send me one out once I sent him my serial number.
I'm considering the Stern aces topper but seems to be made specifically for the LE, or does it make sense for premium as well?
Quoted from adamross:I'm considering the Stern aces topper but seems to be made specifically for the LE, or does it make sense for premium as well?
Won’t match very well, but it will function as designed.
Quoted from KnockerPTSD:What does the shatz-able cross in the lower left do? Thanks
Gravestone Target: This nondescript target above the left inlane may not seem important, but hitting it with an alley pass can be extremely helpful. Making this combo will spot an “X” target during normal play or help you out if you’re in an Eddie Battle.

I think this improves the efficiency of the optos if they don't detect the balls going past each time
Just got a Premium at CAX...got some trouble and stupid questions
1. New headache...Pressing the right flipper button to select a song for a new game immediately triggers an Orb response/reward. If I keep flipping I get 25,000 in points every so often. Pressing the left flipper button has no effect. Slapping the cabinet in various places has no effect.
2. Ball went into secret passage and decided to hide in there...has done this a couple times
3. Lots of left outlane drains. Adjusted sling power from 32 to 25, what have other people done?
4. Lots of playfield glare from the translite. IM is in a dark garage. Is there as backbox LED adjustment? Shine a spotlight on the playfield? Pinstadium? Buy expensive glass (PDI, HD, etc...)?
5. I like the music to callout volume ratio, but is there a way to tone down the sound effects?
Any recommended settings?
6. Got this as a used demo. No box or paperwork with a serial number. Looked inside on coin door....where do I find the SN?
Thanks!

I can answer most of your questions.
#1. The newton ball/orb on the botton left is the one being triggered when you press the flipper buttons. You will need to raise the playfield and tighten it up if its loose. That alone will probably fix the problem so try that before adjusting it. If it keeps coming loose you can put a drop of blue loctite on it so it doesn't. If its not loose you will need to adjust the leaf switch ever so slightly....its very hard to get adjusted properly but once you get it you're probably good for a long time.
#2 sounds like a switch adjustment is needed there as well.
#3 not sure but i would guess you may be able to help your issue with what you're doing.
#4 there is a backbox beightness adjustment during gameplay. Put that on 10% and the problem will be solved.
#5 i think there is a way to tone down the sound effects but im not sure how to access it and im not near my game right now.
#6 you can find the serial number on the back of the cabinet. Hope this helps.
Quoted from BobC:Thanks! I'll get to it!
There is a hex shaped stem that screws on to the newton ball that fits into the plastic spoon switch under the playfield. Thats what I'm talking that is probably loose. Its pretty common for that to happen.
Quoted from LesManley:Add me to the club! I've wanted one, but I honestly didn't see this one coming. I couldn't pass up an awesome deal 10 minutes from my house on this fantastic game though. World Cup Soccer out, and Iron Maiden in.
Grats on your new toy, it's a good one!

Ok. I'll have to take another look then. The stem seemed to be coming down/attached (so I thought when I quickly looked) to a disc at the top?
I was very quickly trying to do something before my friend came over to play it...
Anyways, the stem was off center and that top part seemed to slide around? So I centered it.
Now the right flipper no longer triggers the orb...the left one does LOL
Thanks for the clarification, I'll take more time tomorrow on it and will look for what you are describing.

Going off your description i would guess that your switch stack screws could perhaps be loose, usually the spoon part of the switch shouldn't move around very much at all. Different flipper same issue though

Thanks I'll check that too.

Dammit.
I just went to mezel to order the loop kit and of course they are sold out. Pretty sure they were in stock when I looked at them 48hrs ago.
Does anyone know another seller I can order from?

Just adjust the opto (the real fix IMHO) or just use a piece of tape. That "mod" made me laugh my ass off. Hold my beer, there's an Eskimo at the door who wants to buy some ice...

And the loop adjuster? I'm hoping it helps with the clunkiness of the inner orbit.
You must live somewhere hot. Of course he wants to buy some ice. Its August lol
I'm assuming you mean this thing:

I can't see how you'd need something like this. The inner loop is a tight and tough shot. If you don't hit it perfectly, the ball won't go around, no matter how many mods you stick in the game. Once you get that shot down, it goes way smoother. I've nailed I think 6 in a row until the spinner f'ed up the return. I nail two or three in a row almost every game, and I'm mod-free!
IMHO, no one needs these mods. It took me 15 minutes to fix my opto issue.

My girlfriend managed to get an airball off the jump ramp stuck in that spot twice within a week of getting the machine.

Isn't that one to address the ball trap?

How did you fix the opto issue?
Quoted from PinMonk:Isn't that one to address the ball trap?
Oh, didn't know about the trap spot. Never had a stick ball there. Easy to make your own though.
Quoted from Lethal_Inc:How did you fix the opto issue?
Loosened the opto bulb side and made sure it was perpendicular to the rail. Easy fix.

Pinball life has them. Just get this kit and be done with it.
Made some apron cards. Instruction cards are a little too busy, but didn't have a lot of time on these. Prem/LE & Pro of the same flavor with small changes for the underworld/pharaoh target.

If you use a san-serif font, those instruction cards will become more legible.

I meant that I thought it helped round out the inner loop to make successful loops smoother. Its got that thud again the right side when loops are made. Every machine I've played does the same clunk. Just hoped it was to smooth that out

Thanks PinMonk , it does help a bit.
