Of all the newer bands that are putting out music now, Greta Van Fleet has to be in the top three!

Ronnie Montrose did some of his best work on Gamma 1, 2, and 3. I used to wear this stuff out on vinyl back in the day.

Not really sure what to think about Ghost
    [quoted image]

I have a friend who wears a Ghost shirt every day and he literally has over 300 different Ghost shirts. Personally I think they suck pretty bad.

Quoted from seeburg220:We used to call her the Lamb Woman, because she sounded like a sheep baaaaaing.
That sounds familiar. I've been calling her Goat Throat for years!

This is bound to be unpopular. I know they are revered. I never cared for the Ramones. All their songs mostly sound the same and I just couldn't ever get into their sound. I think they had one song that I sorta kinda liked.

And the ramones are the greatest American band.
    Shame on you breath!

    Wrong! Beastie Boys!

I saw the Mad Caddies live once. Awesome show!

    Quoted from beelzeboob:

I wasn't pretending. I loved them all. I also loved Air Supply, Winger, Dokken, Christopher Cross...I could go on and on. And don't get me started on the new wave stuff: Flock of Seagulls, The Fixx, OMD, Depeche Mode, etc., etc. I figured by liking all different styles of music, I'd have a wider array of chicks to pick from.
    I still couldn't get laid.

I once saw The Fixx live in New Orleans on the US President paddle wheel boat while cruising up and down the Mississippi river. It was surreal. Right in the middle of their MTV hayday, would've been around 1982-83.

I wonder how that came to pass. I guess one thing lead to another.

It certainly did! I only lived in N.O for two years and in that time I saw all the following concerts. Probably more that I don't remember. What good times!

The Fixx, The Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, Ozzy Osbourne(twice), Loverboy, Foreigner, Vandenburg, Blue Oyster Cult, The Neville Bros, George Thorogood and The Destroyers, Kansas, Survivor, Uriah Heap, Cheap Trick.

    Sick!
Was the Stones show at the Superdome?
Do you remember where you saw Ozzy?
I saw the Scorpions at the Mahalia Jackson theater lol

Yeah, the Stones were at the Superdome. It was Neville Bros, George Thorogood, then the Stones.
Ozzy was at some outdoor show with La Roux, Foreigner and Loverboy.
The other Ozzy show was an outdoor show in Baton Rouge with Vandenburg and BOC.

I dug through my old ticket stubs. Two more I forgot about. Blackfoot with Billy Thorpe at The Warehouse, and Kiss with Zebra at the Superdome.
Also in Biloxi, Def Lep with Krokus and Jon Butcher Axis.

I saw the Scorpions way back in 1980. Def Lep opened, they were on their very first tour, On Through The Night. Then the Scorpions. Then Ted Nugent was the headliner. What a freakin show that was!

    Quoted from Methos:

How was the Cult show? Never did get to see them live.

Yeah! The Cult, Bonham, and Dangerous Toys. Damn good show. The lead singer for the cult had a real Jim Morrison vibe.

    Quoted from sunnRAT:

Dude, thank you for posting that. Would loved to have seen that Ozzy and BOC show.
Hows Fultondale these days? I went to Hoover High.

Cool man! I lived in Hoover(Riverchase) for several years. Watched them build the Galleria. Hardly any shows worth seeing come here any more. I did see Joe Bonamassa a couple times here over the last few years. Saw Robert Plant with Allison Krause like 10 years ago. Most of the stuff that comes through here now is garbage.
