Pearl Jam and Led Zepplin are miracles of modern marketing.
All of Beck's music is derogatory and intentionally designed to insult his fans.
Male dominated music genres lyrics are almost entirely female objectification.
Thin Lizzy lyrics are Shakespeare compared to Kiss.

    Quoted from electricsquirrel:

Peppi Marchello of the Good Rats, is the best rock vocalist you've never heard of.

Might as well get back to your music

Best pinside thread is a very long time. Thanks OP!

    Quoted from PismoArcade:

    Thank you!
P.S. Don't hold this against me, but I love Beck and think Sea Change and Morning Phase are classic albums.

I love beck too, but after listening to his catalogue I have come to the opinion that he is making fun of his listeners.

I agree with everybody that Nirvana's music is unlistenable.

    Quoted from LOTR_breath:

This is bound to be unpopular. I know they are revered. I never cared for the Ramones. All their songs mostly sound the same and I just couldn't ever get into their sound. I think they had one song that I sorta kinda liked.

I love the ramones but you hit the nail on the head with your review. Was that one song "Bonzo Goes To Bitburg"?

    Quoted from o-din:

And Jethro Tull was the best choice for the Grammy hard rock winner in 1989.

The flute is a Heavy Metal instrument.

    Quoted from ectobar:

Jazz flute is for little fairy boys

Jazz flute is for all little fairy people regardless of genitalia.

As unpopular as it is to say so, I must say that negative opinions about The Doors are without merit.

Show me the way to the next whiskey bar...

    ELO was nearly ELP

Only good eagle is Joe Walsh, but none of the radio stations ever heard of him. Just non stop Eagles/Don Henley/Glen Frey repeat.

    Quoted from o-din:

Joe Walsh was better with The James Gang.

And they had the funk to prove it.

    Quoted from lastlight:

But REO was rad. Gimme some sweet-ass High Infidelity!

    Fortunately I can say
    in an unpopular way
    REO was ok
    in the day
but High Infidelity is not ok
    no way
    It is straight up schlock

    Quoted from beelzeboob:

You had a nice rhyme going until the last line, and that's where I lost respect for you. Not sure if it was the rhyme or the sentiment.

Well the only word that rhymes is pejorative so I had to come up with something else.

And really schlock is too kind. That album is awful of the worst kind.
I had the pleasure of meeting those gentlemen (Gary & Kevin) before that album came out.
And by gentlemen I mean douche bags.

It is amazing how much hate 'We Built This City' gets.
I'm not disagreeing just commenting that this song really brings out the hate in a way that most other awful songs don't.
