    And Mayhem, ofcourse.

    #102 3 years ago

Chinese Democracy is a really good Axl Rose solo album if you take the GNR name off.

    #103 3 years ago

And lets not forget the Swedish heroes in Watain!

Or old skool Swedish death metal pioneers Entombed!

There are people on Pinside who might not be super into that genre that would probably appreciate Wolverine Blues.

    Blasphemy!

As far as Rap music goes: Guru and Rakim should always be in the talk for best MC of all time.

    #110 3 years ago
    Quoted from PoMC:

Roy Clark was a great guitarist and more talented than Slash.

Very big thumbs up on this.

    #111 3 years ago

Cannot stand GnR, Train, Creed, Staind or 21 Pilots. Oh wait - is this the thread for popular music opinions? Might have misread...

    #112 3 years ago

Crazy Levi is another underrated guitarist.

    Added over 4 years ago:

    Edit:I misspelled Walter Trout

    #113 3 years ago

AC/DC got much better with Brian Johnson replacing Bon Scott when he died.

    KRS-ONE is criminally underrated.

The Motörhead version of Sympathy for the Devil is just as good (in a different way) as the Rolling Stones version.

    #114 3 years ago

    Jesus is overrated

    #115 3 years ago

Second Coming deserved more in the 90s.

The greatest band to ever come out of Ireland was not U2 (and I’m not a hater)....it was Thin Lizzy.

    #117 3 years ago

World Party made five amazing albums from 1986-2000.

    #118 3 years ago

    Metallica really isn't that great.

    #125 3 years ago

The only thing worse than Country music is Christian rock.

    #126 3 years ago

    Aerosmith is lame

    #127 3 years ago

Jeff Buckley could have been the greatest.

    #133 3 years ago
    Quoted from DrDQ:

Jeff Buckley could have been the greatest.

Good one. That dude was so fucking talented, what a shame.

    #134 3 years ago

What the hell, Sinéad O’Connor had a couple of songs I liked.

    #135 3 years ago

Tony Iommi should be mentioned in the same breath as the Mount Rushmore guitar players (Page, Clapton, Hendrix ...). Every hard rock/metal band ever loves Black Sabbath.

    #136 3 years ago
    Quoted from DrDQ:

Jeff Buckley could have been the greatest.

    Yep.

"Everybody Here Wants You" is one of my all time favorite songs.

    Such a sad story.

    Nothing Compares 2U is haunting.

    #138 3 years ago

80's music is way overplayed. Some of the best music, but it's all stale now.

    #139 3 years ago
    Quoted from gambit3113:

    Nothing Compares 2U is haunting.

Prince wrote it. Dont tell @dirkdiggler.

Discovered Prime Country. It’s all new to me. Never thought I’d ever be listening to it. Refreshing to say the least.

    #142 3 years ago

Boris is the greatest band you've never heard of.

    #143 3 years ago

Frank Zappa’s Joe’s Garage is the best rock opera ever.

    #144 3 years ago

90's Brit rock (Charlatans, Stone Roses, Happy Monday's, Oasis, Manic Street Preachers, James, Lightning Seeds, etc) was epic.

    #145 3 years ago

    Eric Clapton onboard...

    ...instead of Stevie Ray Vaughn.

    #146 3 years ago

Lou Reed doesn't get the respect he deserves.

    #147 3 years ago

Devo’s version of Satisfaction is better than the Stones

    #148 3 years ago
