5 down, 5 up; 2000 miles, 48 hours. Thanks to those for that reached out; you guys got solid games. Texas this weekend if more interest.

Dang, just missed you! I will be heading to Detroit (from Madison, WI) this weekend to grab a game. Coincidentally...anyone have good recommendations for places to play, eat, or visit in the greater Detroit area? Doing a bit of poking around online but figured I'd ask. Cheers!

Not sure if anyone is looking at these, but maybe avoid this dude's listings:

https://pinside.com/pinball/market/classifieds/ad/115354
https://pinside.com/pinball/market/classifieds/ad/115353

I sent a DM asking if it was possible to see pictures of the playfield and inside the backbox and he tells me "You can get a better look by coming to Wabasha and see."

Cool, thanks

Of course, if anyone was interested here and sent a DM I assume you got a similar message. So, carry on.

Cheers!

Quoted from SadSack:

I think his prices look good enough that he doesn't have to jump through a bunch of hoops for typical pinside tire-kickers. What is your criteria for a buy, no-buy decision based on the extra work you request? And then you say to "avoid" him because you couldn't sneak a little inside info.
I'm on the sellers side this time. If you're serious, go buy it. If you waste a day, so what? Maybe he doesn't have an extra half hour in his day to entertain you.

Asking for a picture of the playfield and a pic of the backbox counts as a bunch of hoops? For me, it was more just a way to confirm he wasn't a crazy person trying to scam. I woulda closed the deal with that confirmation, but alas.

#16223 2 years ago
Quoted from SadSack:

I only take issue with the idea that the seller is to be avoided because he didn't jump on a buyer's demand. The pinball machine market is sort of a sellers' market right now. Most buyers aren't used to that at all.

I can understand that. My intention wasn't to try and ice the dude, just more raising a red flag since he was a brand new member and it seemed like a response someone scammy would give. Could be my ignorance, and hell..even my loss. Mighta missed out on a decent price for a machine I'd like to own.

That being said, posting one crap image and stiff-arming a request for even one more basic angle is a shitty way to do a deal. Maybe if you were a member with several past sales or a track record I wouldn't care. But maybe that's just how -I- roll.

Looking for a Bally 6803 board. The one I have is pretty bad and I can’t find any new reproduction. Working would be great but non working is ok if it’s not too bad.

I may have one. DM me if you still need one, and I can double-check in the meantime. Cheers!

Speaking of classic Stern machines...if anyone in the southern Wisconsin area has any Stern Electronics (or other) project machines you would like help with, let me know!

I can do a light shop job or heavier restoration, any job is welcome We also make wiring harnesses!

We have an easy load-in, load-out workshop, and I'm always willing to pick up.

DM for details

Quoted from RustyLizard:

Dude makes a dang nice harness too. I have one on a Bally coin door in my collection and finally installed my GI harness in Addams Family. Works perfectly.

Thanks Russ!

Quoted from Methos:

How about a pf swap?

Yeah, absolutely. I have done many, and enjoy it

If there is anyone in the Southern WI area that has an Attack From Mars I could examine, I would be very grateful. I need to grab some wire measurements and confirm a few small details for a small harness I am making. Quick and easy. Happy to trade your time for some wire or parts or beverages Shoot me a DM!

Quoted from Bryan_Kelly:

I have an original I can measure or send pics, if that works.

Great, thanks. Measurements/pics would certainly work. Although...I will be up your way in two weeks (the 27th), perhaps I can do a drop in. I'll send you a note.

Seems like a decent price, GLWS!

Appreciate it!

Quoted from Pinzap:

If I didn’t already have a Bryan Kelly restored White Water I’d be on this in a hot minute. Many already know John’s work… but for those who don’t, this is definitely the deal of the month!! Buy with confidence. I predict “Sale Pending” in 3… 2… 1…

Appreciate the kind words. Your White Water is the gold standard, this is no doubt I debated sending mine to Bryan for the full treatment as well, but in the end decided it's probably not a forever pin for me and plus I already spent my money on other project pins, lol.
