Quoted from Jason_Jehosaphat:

But are they? Are these games, priced at last month's prices, actually moving? I don't see them selling, no. For every twenty I see posted, I see just one/two "Sale Pending" stamps appear on the listing. No one has got the memo, it seems. Today's market is the Coronamarket. It's flooded, and demand is contracted. Add the two together and how you can you possibly sustain yesterday's prices? Good that the sellers around here are paying no heed to basic economics.

This weekend I sold a mint sterns POTC less than 24 hours after posting it and got $250 less than my asking price. This was via Craigslist. Sold it for very close to median sale price of POTC.

If you have a title people are looking for and fair prices people seem to still be buying.

We are at the front of this though and I suspect the longer the marker stays tanked the more impact this could have on prices and time to sell units.

Quoted from PokerJake:

I've sold a MMr, OKtoberfest and WOZ in the last 2 weeks. All three were up for less than 2 days before someone committed. Just gotta price it realistically and someone has to want it.

Glad you sold all these... I wanted to buy all 3! Think my wife would not have been ok with that

#13806 4 years ago

I ordered parts from Marco, Pinball resource and Pinbits early last week. Had all my parts before the weekend.

Seems all these places are still shipping out and getting parts to people in a timely manner, which is great! I was worried I'd be waiting but wasn't the case at all.

Anyone in MN metro area renting games? For the right price might be nice to add a pin to the collection for a couple months. My oldest daughter would love for me to find a Monster Bash.

#13849 4 years ago
Quoted from LesManley:

Yes. I know Nick from Summit Amusement and Ben Granger are both. I believe a couple others are too. If you are on Facebook, you should join our MN Pinball Facebook group and make a post about what you are looking for. I bet you will get responses pretty quickly from people.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/minnesotapinball/

Thanks for that! Just put in a request to join that group.

#13851 4 years ago
Quoted from LesManley:

I approved it and you can post anything you want right away now, so feel free and I am sure you will get responses.

Thanks, I saw that I was approved!

Sent Ben a message about games but seems all the ones I'm interested in are gone. Will still follow along with the other postings happening.

#13853 4 years ago
Quoted from LesManley:

Make sure to try Nicholas Erickson too. I know he was renting out games and he might have some others still available.

I sent him a message as well

CV, Safecracker and Scared Stiff just popped up on MN craigslist all from same seller if anyone is looking for one of these.

Well they were up about an hour ago, all gone now. Prices weren't 'awesome' so maybe he changed his mind. Wanted $9200 for CV and $8800 for the SS, $8900 for the Safe cracker.

#14008 3 years ago
Quoted from LTG:

Ad is gone.
There is a nice Oktoberfest for $6400.
LTG : )

Given the premium pricing and having 3 machines it seems odd they would all be sold... but who knows.

I can't believe the Sterns JP pro is still for sale at $5500. Figured with COVID someone would snap it up even if only to re-sell later at a minimal loss.

#14013 3 years ago

$6k NIB, with tax and shipping = ~$6700. So it's a savings, albeit not much of one.

There was one listed at $5300 well before COVID that seemed to sell super quick. Although it had few hundred plays. Not sure where this one is at.

#14017 3 years ago

As you can see I'm not in the know on NIB games shipped to your door. That does explain why a used one at $5500 isn't selling...

Anyone looking for a TZ? Going to be selling mine soon. PM for details/ pics.

#14926 3 years ago

Interesting your comment about the sling not working on GnR...

I played GnR at Tilt a few weeks back and neither sling was firing. I thought 'that's kind of different, no slings'. Didn't even dawn on me that maybe wasn't working correctly

Fix it and flip it? Seems he makes out good on simpsons lately.

I realize all prices are up but I passed on a nice TSPP for $5k less than 18 months back. The going rate now seems to be $6k+

Quoted from brobra:

My apologies. I melted down and reacted poorly. Thanks for trying to lighten things up. At the time I felt like I was being stomped, while on the ground. That’s happened to after I took a couple of swing at two bros. Not my best moment, but I clocked them good. They also stomped me good. I’m human.

As someone who has hustled sales to support my other hobbies, motorcycles, I say more power to you. You have to put in the work to make $$$ and you aren’t doing it unfairly. I can never fault someone for being willing to put in the work to make $$$.

If you can find a deal, make some $$$ with your value and then sell to a willing person good for you!

Others may disagree with your approach but it’s not like you are ‘making’ people buy your games. It’s simple economics, supply and demand. Prices go up for things in short supply. You can pay the price or don’t but don’t complain about economics it’s a fact of life.

All of this is to say you have a formula that’s working for you and is offering value for sellers and buyers. Some may disagree but play your own game.

As a recent seller of a TZ I was happy with the higher prices being paid I wouldn’t have bought my TZ for what I sold it for but that’s because I didn’t want it ‘that’ badly.

Fastenal shippers, I know MN/WI is in the eastern zone, but have any of you shipped Fastenal to Fastenal from our area to California?

I think they only ship ‘in region’ no crossing of the boundaries.

Anyone try a GDZLE today?
I'm told at least one has landed here in Minneapolis. If that's true, you must have a few in WI.

Tilt just got an LE today. Haven’t played it but know it’s there.

Anyone need a good appliance dolly?

I have a Steven’s escort MRT. It’s just like a yeats dolly.

Got a double strap model so don’t need this one anymore. It’s worked well to haul pins.

Quoted from Jason_Jehosaphat:

Sounds like Aaron to me. He's an avid collector and probably the only seller in Perham, MN. He used to list sale pins on CL now and then, although I haven't seen his posts there in a year or so. I don't know if he's truly an operator though.

Best I know Aaron isn’t an operator. Just a collector with his dad.

I sold him a black night about 5 years back.
