Played Mustang this morning at Mortimers. I really like the theme (I'm a Ford guy and a gearhead) and the play was fun. I did NOT like the licensed songs, though. Can't listen to Drag City that long! The generic music during the other modes was fine.

Also stopped at Sun Ray Lanes. Kudos to the operators there, nice to see how attentive you are. I should have introduced myself better- I believe you're a fellow pinsider?

#4024 10 years ago

My vote is Star Trek and World Cup Soccer

Thanks!

12 hours of pinball today! Thanks Lloyd!!

Photos from Pinball Circus.
Thanks Lloyd for the event. Thanks Jim for the help unloading Tron. Thanks Eric, Matt, Jim, Paul and others for good conversation while playing some games. Cheers.

Thanks for bringing Tron!

(btw, that's me on the far right playing Police Force in the first pic)

I believe this is fairly accurate, you can search by machine or by location.

And I will second that SS is very family friendly (no liquor), and Mortimers probably isn't (lots of liquor).

Also it will be MUCH easier to park a car at SS.

Quoted from jonogo:

@paul Yeah, on CL..
I emailed right away too and called the next day cuz it seemed like he listed after 10pm on thurs.
The bottom of the cabinet looked like it had been planed at a weird angle for some reason.. wonder what the story was.

Yeah, it went up a little after 10, it was sold almost instantly.

A friend and I both tried contacting him within minutes of the ad going up, no response until Thursday afternoon.

#4293 10 years ago

I haven't seen it mentioned here, but Brunswick Zone in Brooklyn Park just got a Mustang (and it's set to 50 cents!).

I've played two now, and I'm enjoying the table quite a bit. Well, except for the licensed music- it gets really old really fast.

#4298 10 years ago

Brunswick Zone has a great selection and their tables are in excellent condition.

Mustang Pro, AFM, Dirty Harry, SM, TOTAN, Strikes-n-spares, Golden Arrow, Hang Glider.

They also had a Fire and a Creetch until recently (Mustang replaced them).

All the SS machines are set to 50 cent play.

Anyone looking for a fun convertible for the summer?

https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/wtt-your-a-list-tables-for-my-sweet-triumph-tr6-in-mn

We'll EVENTUALLY have a spring/summer here, right??? Maybe someday?

#4332 10 years ago
Quoted from ChrisS:

No but if anyone in the area has a galaxie / or galaxie 500 convertible for sale or trade I would be interested. 60-63 please.

I happen to have a 63 1/2 Galaxie 500XL Fastback, but it isn't for sale. Took me a while to find a nice one, it was worth the wait. I'm losing my winter storage next year and I'd rather keep the Galaxie than the TR.

My Dad might be selling his 60 Fairlane soon. Awesome car- solid lifter 390, 4 speed toploader, power steering, power discs.

ETA: sorry, I glossed over the "convertible" part. Good luck!

Did anyone go to the Mustang Release Party? Pictures? Results?

I had three of the worst games ever, completely embarrassed myself

The three tournament games were Golden Arrow, AFM, and (obviously) Mustang.

They were giving away Stern flyers and some other small swag bits.

First time I ever entered an actual tournament. Isn't it normal to have the machines set to free play after you pay to enter? Not a big deal, just kinda annoyed that I had to pay to play after I paid to play.

Didn't seem like a lot of people came through, I was there around 2pm or so. I think it ran from 9am to 5pm????

Quoted from LesManley:

I think it is still there. I never play it so I couldn't tell you if it works or not.

I haven't played it for a while (6 months, maybe???) but it was well maintained. I think it plays as good as that game can play.

Just wondering how many of you guys have seen the Starship Troopers listed on Craig's list for 200?

Answer- every single person reading this thread saw it and at least a couple dozen local pin-hoarders who watch CL all day everyday...

Anyone local interested in collecting firearms?

I have a few I'm selling, would love to trade towards a lower end pin or two.

PM me if you'd like to discuss further.

MN Car peeps:
Anyone know a good paint guy? The place I got my paint work done($100 wheel, a great deal!) is no longer in business. Still got some spots here & there to get repainted.
Also, need a good exhaust guy who won't yak at me about catalytic converters. My Spitfire's exhaust is hanging a bit low from mounting a not 100% compatible header + new muffler.
I should also get that seat headrest re-stuffed too...

PM sent.

Good luck!

Three weeks until the Minnesota State Fair.
Fun fact about the MN state fair: It's not in Wisconsin.

Did anyone else see the pins that will be there? It's in the Pinball Map app.

ETA:

Funhouse, BSD, Xmen Pro, Met LE, IM, ST Pro, WH20, TAF, AFM, MM, WoZLE, and America's Most Haunted.

Hell of a lineup!!!!

Played at SS yesterday. The place looks great, LOVE the new floor!

The current lineup is awesome, had a lot of fun playing TWD (even though it kicked my ass).

Congrats Lloyd!!!

Quoted from LesManley:

The final scores are in from the FWTG Charity Pinball event today. 36 people showed up to have a good time playing pinball and support a great cause. It was great to see so many familiar faces! Every single person won a random drawing prize, so no one went home empty handed! Chris Frame took 1st place in the main tournament and won a 12-1 game touchscreen poker machine for the effort. Kent Anderson won the side tournament and won a classic full sized pinball machine! We filled up the arcade and this picture only shows half of the fun...

Was my first ever tournament, had a lot of fun once I figured out how the tournament system works. My main goal was to just not embarrass myself, so I was pretty content with finishing 2-2.

Selling my minty fresh ST Pro. Open to trading down, details in my CL ad-

minneapolis.craigslist.org link

In other news, just picked up the Nitro Ground Shaker on Mpls CL. My grail pin! So happy. Needs an MPU, but it's in excellent cosmetic condition. Made a very fair deal with a nice guy in Northern MN. Best backglass in all of pinball, in my humble opinion.

#7417 8 years ago

Talked to him but haven't bought anything from him. He seems like a super nice guy.

#7420 8 years ago

Oh yeah, couldn't remember where I had seen that name. The games at Brunswick looked great and were extremely well maintained.

If anyone local is serious about my ST Pro, today's the last day to make a deal for a while- going on vacation tomorrow! WooHoo!!!!

Gonna put up an ad for my Bally Truck Stop as soon as I get a chance to take some pics.

Thought I'd post here first in case it happens to be someone's grail game- apparently it's pretty rare. Very first game after the Bally/Williams merger.

Working great, cab and plastics are great, playfield has 3 wear spots (paint rubbed off, NOT down to bare wood). I cleaned it and put fresh rubber in it. Flippers are strong. It's one of a handful of machines that uses 1" balls, just put brand new ones in.

Not really sure of a value, can't find a lot of info about it- I'm guessing somewhere around $1200?

Would prefer to sell, but may consider trade.
