Quoted from Whysnow:

He is older, and iggnorant and partly just does not care. He honestly thinks he is making them amazing. I have been over to his a place a few times to look at games and each time have tried to nicely let him know that he is ruining these games in the eyes of many collectors by what he does and that with a little more education and effort he could actually make more money from his flips and effort to 'fix them'.
He is happy to do what he does and has not interest in changing.

Thanks for posting your findings. I have noticed the flipping of games... Sucks for people that actually want something and don't have time to run out and get stuff right away when its posted fs only to have someone "fix" them.

Looking to trade or sell my Fireball Classic.
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/for-sale-fireball-classic-ne-wisconsin
I would like to trade for some SS project machines + or - cash depending. I just don't like this pin looking something different.
I'm planning on going to milwaukee the on 14th if you want to work something out.

Can someone convince this guy to stop "fixing" pinball machines: madison.craigslist.org link
I've been looking for a firepower but not bad enough to buy one that he has clear coated and "flame polished"
madison.craigslist.org link

Does he actually sell these machines to anyone?

#8120 8 years ago

I just cringe after having read peoples descriptions of his games and see that he still advertises clear coating. I bought a beater eight ball deluxe years ago that was clear coated with a brush over top of a dirty worn out playfield but that one was super cheap. Or the flash gordon I went to look at that had grade school kids touchups and was clear coated out of a spray can with overspray on everything since nothing was masked off.
I'm hoping the silverball he posted has the slingshot mylars on top of the clear coat and not under it...

Is anyone planning on bringing any Gottliebs to sell at MGC? Lights Camera Action, Vegas, Cactus Jacks, Class Of 1812, etc.
I'm planning on bringing either Embryon or Genesis, not sure which just yet.

Looking to trade Xenon for an alphanumeric Gottlieb. I can always throw in cash depending.
Its working but could use a restoration as in major playfield wear.

Not much for pins in door county other than at my house. Last time I went to the egg harbor fun park was probably 2 years ago also and played the same flintstones everything else there was primarily redemption and driving games. There has normally always been 1 pin there any given summer over the years. Any other pins are at the occasional bar or resort game room. Johnsons park in sister bay has an arcade but I haven't seen a pin there in long time.

Quoted from Fortytwo:

Unincorporated three bars a auto shop and a post office. About 5 miles out of Stevens point. Used to have a bar named Custers last stand! Is that close enough.

I made a trip to "Custer, WI", last year I think, and nearly got run off the road by a school bus since THE "road" was not wide enough for 2 vehicles.

Quoted from Fortytwo:

It's not that bad here. We have paved roads just some drive in the center. How's lectronomo ?

Lectronamo is good its all working just buried in "storage" for the moment.

It was like pinball tetris getting it all in there I forgot how much I hate moving these widebody Gottliebs.. A labor of love perhaps? The Black Hole I had to lift up over the wheel hump to get it in there like that and the BH head cab rode shotgun. I almost came back with another un named widebody strapped to the tailgate but 3 is enough for now.
I've been evaluating the Haunted Houses today and after the A/B swapping one is definitely a "parts" playfield aka ought to be replaced but I still want to revive it so one will be a long term project. The keeper however.. I know for certain I have at least 2 sets of multiball trough assemblies in my parts bins. But I have to finish EBD first...

Quoted from RustyLizard:

The well is dry right now do I think I will take a shot at some arcade games next month.

You are going the wrong way. I though we all started with arcades and graduated to pinball? I think it funny how I started off collecting arcades 15 years ago because I thought I couldn't afford pinball machines back then...

Hey...what can I say....anybody have anything sitting around "uglying" up your place?

Speakeasy
Alien Poker
Surf Side

Quoted from FrankJ:

Surf Side you say? Can you PM me with condition and price?

I think I had messaged you about it a year or 2 ago. I can dig up some pics if you want.
Long story short backglass has some bad spots, cabinet is badly repainted with a brush. It does play but the 10amp fuse I think blows after a couple balls. Something is locking on and I never looked into it.
I have done nothing with it for the last several years and likely never will.

Long shot I know but does anyone have a Xenon or Space Invaders head cab they don't need?

System 1 Gottlieb empty cabinet + extra head cabinet parts $100. I am looking for a Mystic backglass and an Atari owl eye coin door if someone wants to make a trade.
