Quoted from puristish:

Whoa - Are you bringing in some Sterns at SS??

Since I don't work for jjp anymore. Dialed In, Guns & Roses, and WOZ, can all become trade bait.

Thinking on Godzilla premium or Labyrinth.

Never know what the future may bring. Still no date on Pulp Fiction yet.

Been waiting for your PF to show up!

#20403 6 months ago

God I forgot all about pulp fiction! Could that game launch go any slower?

Very slow indeed!!

Looking for a Space Shuttle or Barracora locally if anyone has one they are looking to move.

Thanks.

#20407 6 months ago

STILL looking for a cocktail pin. Open to any title.

#20408 6 months ago

Should I get a Stranger Things Prem for $8900 or Iron Man Pro VE for $6200?

#20409 6 months ago

Stranger things premium. Funner game.

There a third option? I guess ST if I have to pick on the two.

Don't sell Hobbit! It's too awesome.

#20412 6 months ago

Yeah, LTG's Hobbit is the only JJP I've had much success and fun with. They tend to eat my quarters up so fast otherwise.

#20413 6 months ago

Did someone say Hobbit for sale? :p

#20414 6 months ago
Quoted from pcprogrammer:

Hobbit is the only jjp game bolted to the floor. Like my original Medieval Madness and my Walking Dead.

People come in just for them. You don't get rid of games like that.

No, you don't. You could move out TAXI tho and.bring in a Police Force, just for a change. Have a great Xmas Lloyd

I remember coming in only for Dialed In. Then again, maybe I was the only person to do so?

No love for the Taxi? It's one of my favorites, thanks to SS Billiards.

It does good.

But if something comes along that I think would do better. It could leave.

I love TAXI! Miss mine like crazy. Guess my point was, I'll take Lloyd's TAXI, I give him my Police Force, and some $$$ of course

I always try to stop by to play Lloyds Pirates whenever I could but it’s been a bit since Ive been that way.

Is that one gone/on the chopping block?

I stay away because you have the Hobbit. . Just kidding buddy. Wish we were closer so I could get there more often.

jjp Pirates was traded for the jjp Godfather CE.

For me it comes down to the cash box and it was mediocre at best. Might be a great game, rare, etc. etc. But I can't be passionate about it.

No worries. It is a truly great and rare game. But your reasoning is sound.

Happy Holidays to all the avid pinballers who frequent this thread!

Get your New Years' resolutions lined up! Mine is likely to be: obsess less about pinball!

It's 50 and raining here on christmas- happy holidays to all, don't worry there will be plenty of flaky white reasons to stay inside and play pinball all day to come!

It felt weird as the elderly family members were leaving today to not have to escort them to their vehicles so they don't slip as there was zero ice. In Minnesota. In December.

I kinda wish I left my rain gauge outside...we've gotten a fair amount!

Yep! My wife and I will be working 11AM to about 9PM Xmas eve. FREEEEEEE PINBALLLLLL! Full food till five or six, then Ill rock the frier.
SANTA shows up every year as well. Come say Hi!

Thanks for the free pinball yesterday! We played too much pinball and forgot to eat some of the delicious food... We'll be back next weekend for some food... and pinball.
We did get to play pinball with Santa!

Here is a great site to use for rainfall totals:

https://www.cocorahs.org/ViewData/StateDailyPrecipReports.aspx?state=MN

Click one of the “active” hyperlinks, which allows you to scroll around and look at different rainfall amounts, times reported, etc. Typically everyone reports their totals for the last 24 hours in the morning.

It looks like Ham Lake received over 2” of rain in the last 48 hours.

I'm in the same boat...would like to trade my Police Force also for a Taxi or Whirlwind + cash, down the road. Police Force was a Christmas gift a couple years back for the wife, but she never got into it, so I'm just writing it off as a failed attempt at a gift. I put more plays into my other machine, Slugfest. There's just something satisfying with hitting home runs and grand slams...lol.

I'd rather get machines that are played over quantity. My philosophy is that machines were meant to be played...they are entertainment devices.

It's kind of nuts. If the metro got all snow, even a 12 to 1 snow-liquid ratio would have netted two feet of snow over the two days.

Cool site, thanks! I usually use the National Weather Service and find a reputable monitor near me (like KSTP): https://w1.weather.gov/obhistory/KSTP.html

I’m grateful it was rain. In my area, we had 2.60” in 48 hours. With that ratio, 30” of snow would have been similar to our 1991 Halloween snowstorm (28.4”). Crazy

Cannot overstate how delighted I was to not have to constantly fret, flail, and freak out about aging parents and transportation.

Cannot overstate how after 50 winters in MN, I get almost within 20 degrees F of a Christmas in San Francisco.

Cannot overstate how appreciative I've been this year of our Official Wisconsin-Minnesota thread. It's active, it's helpful, and it's full of folks who want to make pinball fun and accessible for everyone in our area. Rad.

Xmas Eve was BONKERS. We did 975 plays in ten hours across eight machines, and only had one LED catch on fire and one major mech fall apart!

Thanks to everyone that stopped out!

+1

I'm not here all that often, but I am grateful to have a regional thread here on Pinside to connect me with collectors in this state and its neighbors. Thank you, Rusty Lizard, for getting this rolling!
I was just talking to a Hoosier today and I suggested he introduce himself on his own regional thread, only we weren't able to find one for him! I finally suggested he find an active Pinsider or two from Indiana and ask them if there is any kind regional thread for the state.

I am. I bet Tilt gets a Pro followed by an LE. Should be a good earner on route. I'll have an LE in the house (hopefully late Feb) if anyone wants to journey out on Hwy 55 to give her a few rips.
