Quoted from TimBoch:

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Depending on the model. The compressor unit may be removable. If it is I'd try plugging it into a separate power source to see if it's bad.

Also there should be a filter for air to flow through the coils and a screen on the back for the air to flow out through. Be sure they aren't plugged.

Quoted from Jason_Jehosaphat:

Oh, and at least one row has huge, playfield-shaped monitors mounted on the wall above each machine, so you can follow the action if you're spectating from further away. Tip: play your ball looking at the monitor and not your playfield! It's a trip!

I decided I’m strictly playing games on this wall ONLY looking at the monitor. Get good doing that and you’re pretty much able to see the future on real games

New Litt location is great! Way more booths and places to chill than I was expecting. I didn't know there was a secret bank of games in the back near the bathroom until I went. I appreciate the affordable food options, I think a burger was $10 (1 patty, smoked onions, bacon, gruyere) when a lot of places are getting closer to $20 for standard bar fare. Same for the nachos we had. Love the nice water fill up station. Tons of space at the bar to order. Bring extra quarters, a lot of games are .75 now, which is understandable. I also felt most of the machines were a bit quiet but I figure it takes a while to find that right balance.

New LITT space is great. Obviously less cramped than the old one. Parking will still be a challenge, especially once winter comes and parking in the surrounding neighborhood is basically halved. Techs were busy cleaning and checking games, always a welcome sight. Played Scooby, Godfather, and Venom for the first time. Oof. None of these games spoke to me in any way and I couldn't get away from Venom fast enough. Spent most of my time playing Embryon, Radical, and EBD. The bank of games with the screens above them was cool, maybe throwing their hat in the ring to host a major tournament at some point?. Lots of LE's including a Metallica MoP which is great to see on location. Overall, new venue is a welcomed expansion to their already successful concept. Bigger bar and tap list is a plus for those of us who enjoy an adult beverage while playing. Congrats to John Galvin and the LITT team!

I need to get there! Thanks for the review! It’s been too long. I bring the wife and purchasing gets easier the more she frequents the establishment.

A local video game restorer recommends Adrenaline Customs in WBL.

So last week I took a batch in for my Stars restoration. They should be done in about 2.5 weeks. Custom color on all the external metal and coin door etc a bit under $400

Minimum $100 per order so if you’re doing one color get your fill. I was thinking of doing a set of BLY legs refinished in the gray so it’s cheaper to get a set from Terry/PBL unless you have a stash of them you want to get done then maybe worth it.

They do have a LOT of colors to choose from.

I’ll post pics in my thread when the order is done.

Hey all you in WI and surrounding areas - if you haven't heard, the Godfather of pinball (Steve Tully) was in a pretty bad car accident not too long ago. I just found out a few days ago, and was made aware tonight of a GoFundMe that his neighbor is putting together to help him and his partner. I know that many of you on this thread know Tully well as he's the MAN at MGC coordinating the Arcade Hall, has been involved with Expo, and really got the pinball rolling in Wisconsin with the Wauna-Tourney so many years ago, and that's just the tip of the iceburg!

Anyway, if you feel so inclined please be sure to check out his GoFundMe and consider helping out the most deserving individual I can think of. https://gofund.me/89b78c8e

who doesn't smile when they see you?

On a side note, Tully is a great human and I hope for his speedy recovery. Much of Wisconsin pinball owes it's expansion to Tully and all the great work he has done (and is still doing) over the years.

#20148 8 months ago

Bummer on the crash. Hopefully they recover quickly.

I potentially might move my Diamond Lady - let me know anyone wants to do a trade. No EMs for now.

Ideally looking for a LW3, WPT, NASCAR, Jurassic lost world. Can buy outright as well if not interest in trade.

#20149 8 months ago

What's with the TMNT and LZ pricing lately dropping 2k? Do you think they'll drop lower? Any other titles that might follow suit?

I get that they need to move old inventory, but doesn't this hurt the distributor's cut? Maybe distros are just happy to recover the cash?

I haven't been in the hobby long enough to see a price drop like this.

Good thinking posting it here! When I heard about it last Thursday I stopped over by his house to visit/donate (didn't know if gofundme took a cut).
He was in good spirits all things considered. Generosity of the pinball community is beautiful to see!
