It’s that time again. District 1 Brewery in Stevens Point is hosting our Wednesday tournament again. Back by popular demand (or at least a couple people asking when), we will be running a seven round matchplay tournament starting at 6ish and should finish up around 9:30 or so. As usual, the brewery is kicking in a 4 pack to the winner. Entry is free, coin drop only.
Anyone looking for some extreme projects? Might be letting a few things go in the next couple weeks.
If anyone wants an ICE full sized basketball game, I've got one of those and don't want it now. It's too tall to put at any of my locations! PM me, I'll help you load. It's a bit of a project, but it's free and actually contains a new motor that was like $200ish, so... good deal?!
Does anyone have any interest in a whole mess of older Gottlieb coils? I would say there is 50 or 60 of them, I could list them, but it would take a while and it would be a giant post, I can provide details to anyone interested. Most of them are NOS, and have been sitting on the shelf for 20+ years.

Hey y'all! Had a blast the last two Wednesday night tournaments at District 1 in Point. I see it's coming back tomorrow, so hoping to make it down! I don't have much of an online presence and search Pinside mostly for tech info on old Williams, but I have popped on here from time to time. Neat thread!
I thought maybe I should post a bit of background for myself. A free, non-working Rancho was given to us in the summer of '19. Always wanted a pinball machine, not that great of a player but always liked them mostly because who couldn't love such Rube Goldberg machines, and had no idea it was remotely trendy or that parts were even available. Now I'm scratching my head staring at the sound board schematics for machine #4... Who knew? Fun community!

I mostly subscribe to this thread for the memories of living in Madison, but damn does Champaign, IL fall short on the pinball at bars. Of course most of the pinball scene in Madison popped off right after I left. At least we have some good beers here I can drink while I play on the home machines.

Thank you for communicating what I apparently wasn't able to.
Crossed the river and went over to Arbeiter brewing to play Sopranos and LOTR for the first time. Really enjoyed Sopranos. The Bada Bing loop around the stripper pole and back to the flipper felt really good to shoot, might be one of my favorite shots. I liked locking the balls in the boat. Everything about it was fun. Maybe a bit too easy and could use more main cast call outs. Love the music and call outs on LOTR, but was kind of underwhelmed otherwise. Lots of ball stoppage that made it feel slow. I can see why ppl say it makes a good home pin. Everything felt packed in on the right and the whole left of the playfield including the raised portion just felt sort of flat and dull. The theme is so strong though. If it were to ever be vaulted the art would need some updates for sure. It screamed early 2000s lol. I'll be going back. They seem like good people that I'm happy to support. I brought a crazy double IPA 9% crowler home with me to have during the Wolves game tonight wooo!

Obsessively post to club forum about every conceivable known mod.
Do not discuss rules, gameplay, or actually playing said title.
Do endless mods to title.
Shoot self in foot.
Get frustrated. Obsess over small details.
Declare example a lemon. Attempt to sell title. It sits unsold unusually long. List, unlist, list, unlist, list. It eventually sells.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
I sense a calm, cool breeze headed towards the TNA Club forum.

I guess it depends on your expectations. You have to know going in that (1) it’s a modern pin, but not and (2) it’s repetitive and difficult. In other words, it’s basically a classic Stern Electronics with some bells and whistles. If that’s not your cup of tea, then it’s going to get old really quick.
One thing you can do if you haven’t is use the coop mode. It changes the dynamics of the pin and, in my opinion, is a ton of fun.
I have got some light up leg protectors and a light that goes behind the shooter housing that I would like to sell but have no idea what these items are worth. Anyone know? I will make an add for these items when I have an idea of what they are worth.
