Quoted from BadgeringBadger:

Anyone around Madison know if Maria's bar is still open? Found it when I drove through in 2019, but I thought it was closed permanently. They had a nice collection of older pinball machines and I'd love to stop in again when I'm around this week.

I don’t think Maria’s exists anymore but I could be wrong.

Madison Pinball had the games in there. Here is their website: https://www.madisonpinball.com/locations

Tom’s correct, Maria’s closed a while ago. The place you really should stop by is I/O Arcade bar; 20 pins I think and about 40 arcades

Anyone try a GDZLE today?
I'm told at least one has landed here in Minneapolis. If that's true, you must have a few in WI.

Tilt just got an LE today. Haven’t played it but know it’s there.

#17006 46 days ago

I'm well aware of IO and it's one place I plan to stop by, but I know that place is still open. Just didn't know what happened to Maria's

#17007 45 days ago

Played Zilla LE last night at Tilt for a few games. Waaaay better than pro based on my initial impression. Building with multiple levels and how it changed shot paths added a bunch to those shots. Mechagodzilla rotating section with spinner and jump ramp completely changed the gameplay on that side of the playfield as well vs the static loop on Pro. I didn’t do much with collapsing bridge. Not sure if because of early code or I didn’t hit the right shots.

I will be listing a Metallica Pro LED soon to make room. Northern twin cities, pick up only, very low plays absolutely excellent condition. Message if you may be interested.

Wanted in Minneapolis:
Pallet for shipping a pinball
If you can spare one, or if you can suggest a spot where cast-off pallets are available, I would be grateful.
Thanks.

I still have the pallet my MMrSE came on if you would like it. I live in Farmington.

Oh Yeah, forgot to Mention NerdHaven on Cottage Grove Road. Not a bar, but an arcade. They have around 30 pins that are token drop and if you want to play arcades you buy a day pass for the other half of the building. The two collections (by two different groups of people) compliment each other nicely

#17013 44 days ago

Is it in WI or MN?

#17014 44 days ago

I have two games for sale. Since you guys post in the Chicago for sale thread and my daughter goes to University Wisconsin Madison, I felt I'm welcome.

I had this happen on a Taxi I was working on. Was picking glass out of my hair for a hour.. still found glass chunks in the creases of my garage door a week later.

So I am looking to trade my Elivra premium. Wife doesn't love the theme apparently now that it's in the house.

So hit me up if you want to trade!

Just the other day I pulled the glass out of a ninja turtles, I set it in my little hidey hole where it won't get messed with, and I see a tiny little shred of glass come off the bottom corner. Sure enough you can see an imperfect edge and the start of a tiny crack. I immediately threw the sheet in the dumpster, covered it and smashed it. It took 4 or 5 pretty good swings to get it to pop. There was absolutely no way I was going to put it back in any game. If I never have to try and shop vac tempered glass out of a playfield again it will be too soon.

Yeah, better be safe, specially when its only like $40-50 for a normal sheet.

I think I would like to test a HD glass out at some point.....

Iwas skeptical because of the price, but I bought a couple sheets of HD and it really is pretty awesome.

I'm so spoiled with HD Glass, Invisiglass, PDI glass that I can't stand not having it on my games now. I have overhead lights and the glare off standard drives me bonkers now!

Same here, at this point it's one of the first upgrades I make. Sometimes it's so nice and clear it looks like you can reach in and touch the playfield.

I used to have a travel time. You can stop the clock too I think right? It’s like an EM safecracker.

I'd much rather buy a sheet of glass, then put a bunch of 3d printed plastic in my pins.

Once you get that first sheet, every pin has to have it for sure.

Local guy had it on his X-men and I couldn’t even see it. That was when it was a new thing….it was impressive

#17050 40 days ago

Yeah it's pretty crazy. It's damn near invisible if you don't have any overhead lights. Now if only I could find some more of that Stern HD glass. Seems to be sold out everywhere, or there are no shipping options.
