Just setup Ultraman out at the Blue Moon Bar in Madison Yesterday. It survived our Craft Beer Pinball League night with only one broken rubber! I need more coffee.

Nice - looking forward to playing one sometime in the future. I have a couple friends who each ordered one.

Really? I'm sure EVERY post on this thread has been pinball related over the years. Trying to unload something expensive and save some money from shipping it back, and thought using all means necessary locally would be fine. Forgot how bleeped up this forum is, and how down hill this thread has become. I'm done

Fine, leave, then we won't have to waste time reading future ads for other impertinent things, or suffer your whining when you get a deserved heckle. I mean, really, what do you think the odds are that someone is looking for that particular engine, is in your vicinity, and reads a pinball forum? Posting that here was beyond inane. And my response was in a humorous vein, not at all nasty.

Grow a pair.

Plain and simple, Bohdi would never know if he did not try. A Google search for that motor may lead to his post and , even better yet, get another person possibly into the pinball realm. So there's that...

#16761 38 days ago

Whats an occasional guy stuff item for sale. I dont wanna see a list of widgets for sale, but a one off crate motor or neon sign or whatever is fine.

I have seen a ton of crossover between cars and pinball on this forum. For example.. https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/unofficial-wisconsin-minnesota-thread/page/330#post-6405128

You're seriously going to let a comment from Dan scare you off?

You need some thicker skin.

I'm just going to stop commenting on stupid posts here, people take it too personally in this regional thread. My bad. We should all be friends here.

My 49th Anniversary of SS Billiards today. Doesn't seem that long ago. Unlocked the door for the first time at 3pm. Mike McNeil was our first customer a couple hours later. There has been some changes through the years. The one thing that will never change is I am grateful for all the people that helped get me this far. Thank you !

#16771 36 days ago

Looking for an EM for a buddy, preferably with "lots of drops."Lmk if you have anything and your asking price. Early SS might work, too, sounds like 2500 is the limit for him.

There comes a time in every high end collectors life when they start selling pins to fund collectors cars.

My 49th Anniversary of SS Billiards today.

Congratulations to you. To do anything, especially something you love, for this long is a great thing. To survive economic swings, pandemics, and everything else is a true sign that you are blessed. On top of that, you've been very generous with your time and knowledge to the pinball community. While I've yet to make it to your place, it's going to happen eventually. I look forward to that day.

Well done Lloyd!

Big Al from Pinball Warehouse was smart as he attended car shows constantly and promoted his business as well at the same time. I recall in the 80,s he'd bring games to various car shows and have them in his booth along with Jukeboxes.

I don’t know what people think of Burgertime, highly regarded, underrated or what. But it’s an awesome game. It’s one of my favorite arcades of all time. The design is pretty genius. I’ve thought about getting one as well.

Midwest Gaming Classic 2021 Show Special Updates.

We will have the following games available for purchase. The agreement is that the machines stay plugged in and on the gaming floor until the conclusion of the event. Games will be brought to the show and set up at no cost. Any applicable sales taxes will need to be paid (5.5% for Wisconsin). The games listed will be the only ones available for purchase. There will be other games from these manufacturers available to play, but with such short supplies, they will be needed for other shows. There are limited amounts of each game and once the allotment is gone, it is gone.

Games must be paid in full BEFORE the show begins.

Thinking of trading my TZ for EHOH if anyone out there thinking the opposite of me. Has upgraded speakers otherwise stock. Really nice cabinet no security bar drilling. No battery damage and did I mention serial numbers match on the boards? LED clock board.

Been trouble free since I’ve had it and cared for by pinballplusMN

2nd and 3rd place for me would be Tron or CV. I love TZ only reason I’m willing to give it up is an early one in storage.

If anyone looking for a slugfest I have a friend that has one 2300.00 Woodbury area mn.

My first time staying in Madison. Headed to the Blue Moon Bar shortly, pinball map looks up to date. I'm working and staying near the Alliant Center. Any ideas on other spots I should visit that a 46 year old male would enjoy, even outside of pinball? Scenic overlooks, neat spots only the locals really know about?
Staying tonight and tomorrow, thanks in advance

#16796 34 days ago

Also looking for the best brew pubs, one with a uniqueness, not cookie cutter trendy places.

Best wing place
Best burger
Best pizza
Best lunch place would also be much appreciated

#16797 34 days ago

If I am in Madison and want something different, I really like Glass Nickel Pizza. Might be worth checking out.

best brew pubs

Great Dane is a classic. There is one on the outer loop of the capital. Otherwise, I liked One Barrel and Side Door but Covid...

Quoted from janus:

Best burger

Paradise Lounge or Tipsy Cow are solid.

Ian's is good for a slice, especially at 2AM. Glassnickel and Roman Candle are solid.

Quoted from janus:

Best lunch place

A la Brasa if you like Mexican. Cassetta if you want a sandwich. Graze if you want to drop some cash. The old fashion if you want an Old fashion and cheese curds (get the tiger sauce).

Blue Moon has a nice pin line up. Other cool pinball locations are Schwoeglers (bowling Alley), IO bar (barcade) and Nerd Haven Arcade (old school arcade with ~100 vids and 30 pins). If you're looking for a sports bar with pins, check out Pooleys.

#16800 34 days ago

Not sure if it is the best Pizza, but Rossi's Pizza has an arcade with 3 pins (not in the greatest shape though), but a cool place to check out.
