Quoted from CaptainNeo:

why would you want 2 of the same game? they are pretty much copies of each other. You want diversity in a collection, not the same crap over and over.

I disagree, but I suck at pinball so I find them different and fun, just expensive

I had both. Sold my AFMR thinking the same as you. Would love to have one back to put next to my MMR again.

I still have a AFMr LE that I am looking to trade for a MM. anybody else feel like they want to get rid of a MM. I am looking.

Let's build you a mmr. I have enough nos parfs, pf, Harness set and brand new boards....

I'm sorry Llyod. This is going to be a hard month.

Is there another way to buy gift cards etc again? Ive been meaning to get down and play your JJP line up so it would be a good way to have a great reason to come!

From the site;

The parts and games listed here are being sold by our long term frequent customers and are NOT located at SS Billiards.

#15159 3 years ago

All the for sale items aren't mine. They belong to my internet provider. Greg Kemnitz.

I am going to sell a game or two of my own.

I like the idea of the gift certificate to give our operator friends some runway in this beyond challenging environment. Aside from shopping, games, selling games, doing tech support, etc, have you considered renting them. I’d hate for you have to sell some games. If you need to sell a few and can get top dollar shipping, I’ll help package them and dumpster dive for good palettes. Heck, I may shop’em out for free to be a nice guy.

#15162 3 years ago
Quoted from brobra:

I don't have enough people or equipment for that.

And unlike most businesses, going into a home you run into narrow doorways and stairs.

After all these years. If I'm not doing something, there is probably a reason.

I hope he kicks you a commission or you have a good deal structure (win-win).
I’ve called him on several games, but never heard back from him. I’d to like light a fire under his ass.

that's complete horseshit. you should not have to close for any reason.

#15165 3 years ago

brobra I was able to talk to Greg K a couple of times and even had a meet setup. Then, he ghosted me. I don’t think he wants to sell any of his games.

I agree. Did all I could to keep my customers safe. And unfortunately many places didn't. And now I pay. Again.

I tried many years ago to buy off Greg, he may sell eventually, or there may be a sweet estate sale.

Not much you can do besides trying once in awhile.

With Covid right now. I don't think he's doing much of anything. He has an aging parent he has to stay safe for.

Thanks, guys, for setting me straight. I’ll try him him in different times. Good to know.

I bought one game a long time ago off Greg. It was not easy, you need to be patient and persistent. He is not a motivated seller under normal circumstances.

I’ve talked to Greg a couple of times. Interesting guy, but I agree. I don’t think he really wants to sell anything. I even offered to help him get everything organized. No strings attached.

Same here. He does seem to be a bit "ethereal"

#15175 3 years ago

Llyod,
If there was a contract that could be drafted...could "we" come pick a game up from you and rent it for a month? I would totally come snag a game and bring it back when you open.

Thanks for the quick responses. Met, IM, SW, Deadpool are a few newer ones of interest or open to lots in the 80’s-00’s.

Thinking about letting JP Prem go. July build, shaker, pinball pro sound system, headphone jack, cliffys, movie code, still have the box. In central Iowa though.

Star Wars trilogy. Good playfield,
Toys work, drop targets rebuilt, target decals, added 2nd speaker (two channel mono, haha), about to add some pinballbulbs LEDs, fresh rubber, so it should be a reliable and good looking game.
Has the 3D hologram backglass. Only negative is some wear around flippers (a lot guys go the half moon black protector route, or I could paint match, throw clear protectors over and 95% would never notice (I am a fine-artist, too). Should be ready to go in a few days, pending my schedule stays open. I’d want 3500 for it since, I’m dropping a good amount of time and few bucks into it. And yes that’s 300 over the high-end on the book. I don’t care much for book value, plus I think it’s statistically overweighted with older sales data anyway, and a reliable non-Frankenstein tech’d games will save you hundreds in repair calls, unless you’re handy

Played Gnr, loved the light show, shots, and music. Thing drains to left a lot. I think I need to read the manual and rules, and put some serious hours on it to even appreciate it.
