Quoted from Jason_Jehosaphat:AP's Hot Wheels on location near Minneapolis?
Any spottings?
PinMap says nearest one is in Watertown, WI, some four hours from here.
I would love to try the game.
Bump on hot wheels, any local? I’m curios about it.

Quoted from brobra:I’m a what I like to call a “forced” extrovert. I’m great with people, but I really get my strength in solitude. That’s probably why I like playing pins so much if you have a wishlist, I’ll help you get what you want. Just offering that up in the spirit of community.
I guess that's what I am too - it is draining being in a group, but it's fun at the time.
Not really sure what I want right now - haven't played most of the new games yet because of the pandemic. Wouldn't mind trying Spider-Man for a decent price as I've heard it's fun, but otherwise probably waiting to try out GnR, AIQ, and JP to see if I like them. Thanks for the offer, will reach out after I have a better idea.
Any chance you have the schem for that 1955 Williams Jolly Joker EM arcade roll down game?
Peace,
Mike
“Bar games that require standing are not permitted” mn law announce by walz on new restrictions.
So with this new restriction, could an operator simply place bar stools in front of their pins, or dart games?

Afraid not. That said, it couldn't be more simple. Each hole has a switch that lights the corresponding backglass light. That's about it.

Star Tribune said it was for bars and impacted pool and darts... Hopefully this doesn't impact Tilt or SS Billiards

It does. I couldn't post the link. This is on it :
Do not allow patrons to use games or entertainment devices that require patrons to leave their seats.

It doesn't cover me. Starcade ( the new video arcade opening in Roseville soon ) posted a picture of the particulars on Facebook.
I can't post a picture here. Here is what it says :
6. Paragraph 7.c.ix is ammended by the following additions.
ix. Venues providing indoor events, entertainment, or recreation such as theaters, cinemas, concert halls, museums, performance venues, stadiums, arcades, and bowling alleys may open to the general public only in accordance with industry guidance available on the Stay Safe Minnesota Website.
It goes on about beverages and food selling and consuming on premises ends at 10pm.
So I'm stressed to hell but feeling a little better right now.

Sounds like he can stay open thankfully. For now.

Yes.
Except for selling pop or candy or allowing consumption of pop, candy, or food after 10pm.

No,
I posted a question that had been answered about bar stools to circumvent my interpretation of the “standing games”.
I actually wouldn’t want to buy your games because I only want you and other operators, and all “good” folks to succeed. This is tough stuff and hard times. Heck, I was in casino game development for 20 years; another business sector getting pounded. You’ll see my face soon, as I was close to cracking the high score on AFM LE at your location, so I’m making that my goal this week, and I’ll proudly wear my mask.

Nah, that would be really poor form. I at least have a bit of tact in me
Long live LTG Long live the King.

My wife’s stupid hospital ICU is full & their stupid nursing staff is stretched thin... the last thing they need are manchild patients who couldn’t live without pinball for a couple of weeks.
Come to Wisconsin to Play some pinball today where you still can.

Not my business, Just where my pinball league is held. It is a local place still open for pinball.

This thread should be seperated into two different threads. One strictly for B/S/T, the other for everything else.

Some of us enjoy having these local businesses post here. I have no social media accounts so when I look for anything pinball related, this site and this thread are pretty much all I have.

301 pages includes B/T/S, news, location updates. Etc. Etc. Since it's so many pages already. It seems to work well. Except for no posting pictures in it anymore because they were bypassing the market place area.

This thread is for all things pinball in WI/MN. Locations and retailers are encouraged to communicate with us every bit as much as the mask shamers are
closing anything down is complete bullshit. Nobody should get to pick and choose who survives and who is forced to die a slow death. Either close everything down. (grocery , gas , everything) or close Nothing. No in between. If people think it's that dangerous then everything has to be closed. Lets see how long people think it's that dangerous when you can't buy groceries and gas, or medication. i bet shit would open back up real quick.

But what if someone puts color LEDs in their GI? If only someone could tell them why they are wrong and what to do with their pin.
Pandemic Regional Market Stinks!
If you've called your disto lately, you probably know that manufactures are shipping new games at a glacial pace. The few that land at distributors are sold - at MSRP - in days, if not hours. This makes negotiating for a "street" price rather difficult. Sellers of HUO games are aware or this scarcity and are seizing on the moment to offer their games at top-tier prices. Prices today are basically pre-Corona, plus fifteen percent or so. I saw a JP Premium go past at just $6K, which is unheard of. Or I saw a TWD Premium go past at just $5.6K. These are the *only* true deals I've seen. Every other sale pin is priced solidly in the stratosphere. A year ago, that strategy would have ensured that your game did *not* sell, but with distro stocks depleted, and the prospect of a long, homebound, COVID-gripped winter, those overpriced games are actually selling. I spoke to one distro who told me he'd sold SIXTY games in the past week. What???
If all this sounds like complaining, it most assuredly is. I all but gave my last HUO pin away and I was hoping to replace it with something priced fairly. Nothing doing! It's MSRP for the dregs - STh, BK, Beatles - or pay the Pandemic Markup to sellers of HUO games. Fork that!

By locking yourself into HUO and the latest and greatest you are missing out on the best of what pinball has to offer. You have the rest of your life to own thise games and enjoy them. I am on my way home right now with a decent condition Shadow in the back of the car. A couple nights ago I picked up a nice Jungle Lord project. Open yourself up to older games and a few dents and scratches. Only then will you see what i am talking about.

Same here. I'm a member on sites that are dedicated to a particular interest/hobby. I even made a few bucks on a YouTube channel years ago, but, no more. Yes I miss out on some announcements on Facebook etc but there is a ton of other things I feel I'm NOT missing out on.

Congrats on the pickup. I'm open to any worthwhile/fun title - excluding EMs - priced fairly. I do frequently post Wanted ads for the games that interest me most, but that doesn't mean I have zero interest in the rest of the large catalog of fun games. Just less. Your pinhunting benefits from a larger network, I'm assuming. Things come your way now and then, a fringe benefit of being in the hobby for so long. Nothing comes my way. I have to dig and dig.

Wait, wait, wait. ANOTHER Jungle Lord? How many is that now...37?!

Another jungle lord (letting it sink in).......
I think i got room in the bathroom...

My advice is to be flexible and patient. Just enjoy the hunt and the process. Along the way you will meet great people and learn a few things. That’s been my approach and I’ve done just fine. The last piece of advice I’ll give you is see if you can swing two pins, so that when you sell one you won’t be completely without. For example, rather than getting a Stern Premium think about getting a Pro and then using the money you saved on a classic Stern Electronics pin. With all that being said, hang in there and good luck!

I had one pin once, I lasted three weeks.
I have the itch to add a game or two. I have owned or played most of the spike 2. Thinking I should dip into the 70s to 90s, Id appreciate some advice from anyone that is willing to guide me. Helped a friend buy a late 60s EM but thats not my thing. Are there any good articles or forum posts breaking down where to start? IE avoid these or these are known for issues but always the same failure....
PM me if you have something thats up and running and near me.

What do you enjoy in a game? Strategy, flow, speed, etc. ?
I think I would go for flow then strategy. Speed doesn't matter since Im far from a good player.
I have played Fish tales, and no good gofers enjoyed those simply because they were different, even if I failed big time still enjoyed.
Nascar, and Indy 500 were ok but didn't catch me.
Owned and played Star Trek Prem/Pro, over played that, Elvis is ok but just seems off to me.
Fav game right now is Deadpool next would be IMDN then JP Pro,
Had AIQ Pro for a week, and TMNT for 3 weeks those moved to another house.
Thanks for the help.
