So there's one at Alt and at Schwoegler's? That's pretty amazing!

Pinballmap says the Pint Public House in downtown MPLS has a Swords of Fury. Not sure who rents it out to them, but you could always ask.
This coming Sunday the first ever pinball/drone racing starting at 9am at SS Billiards.

Was on the way to MGC and the folks at Alt Brewery were nice enough to open just a bit early so we could play Alien. Really impressed with the game. Got to play titles I've never played before like Johnny Nemonic, NBA fast break and of course Alien! The older games were in excellent shape and fun to play as a result. Very clean, brand new place.
Also got a bite to eat at Schwoeglers(bowling alley). Incredible food and great service. Appeared to be a well kept place, large operation. Games were in great shape here as well. Here are some pics of both places. The pics are mixed together and the $12 Captain Morgan Pitcher(yes thats right pitchers of Captain) were at Schwoeglers.

This is cool!!!
Pretty cool.. I was trying to picture a setup in the parking lot when you announced this and was wondering how you were gonna pull that off. Inside is even better!! Gonna guess they're not flying something like my Phantom 4.
Do you have flipper fatigue from excessive game length? Did you play (insert hot new title here) at MGC and now realize that you need an influx of cash and space in your game room? Now is the chance to solve all your problems and sell me your LotR!
Thanks for the heads up. The game was pulled from route and sold. Had I been following this thread every day, maybe I would have snagged it.
I'm still looking for a Swords of Fury. If you find one, please send me a PM.

But this has to be a scam right?

So are all of the games moving from Mort's to Tilt now or are both locations still going to have games. I saw on the website they're going to be doing monthly tournaments on the last Sunday and the lineup looks like all of the Mort's games.
Quoted from BlueIrocGuy:I think Mortimers is being renamed Tilt, so it would be the same location.
Tilt is about 5 blocks south and 9 blocks east of Mortimers.
LTG : )
100% not the same place as Mort's.
http://tiltpinballbar.com/games/
List of games appears to be a mix of some that are currently at Mort's, Caffetto and the Nomad as well as some others. (Man oh man, that Meteor.)
I assume there will be some serious shuffling going on, but as far as I've heard both places are definitely still remaining open and full of D&G machines. Haven't seen anything about the last Sunday of the month tournament moving to Tilt, but no biggie if so.
(Have heard that the monthly tourney at the Nomad is ending, though I don't know if there will still be tables there or now.)
Anyone know the MGC attendance total this year? Tent seemed a bit less busy than the previous years.
Quoted from lordloss:Anyone know the MGC attendance total this year? Tent seemed a bit less busy than the previous years.
Sounded like very similar to previous years. I think people were spread out throughout the day this year which was nice.
I assume over 10k people again.

I "heard" Saturday was the biggest attendance yet.....
Well they ran out of Spotted Cow on tap by mid Saturday or so. I'd swear a few hours earlier than last year.
My other totally scientific theory states that there had to have been roughly 2,000,000 in there to get that game hall that hot, but the whole weather/HVAC thing might be a better explanation for that.
Quoted from lordloss:Anyone know the MGC attendance total this year? Tent seemed a bit less busy than the previous years.
Crazy levels of crowding at MGC seems to be not so much of an issue. Friday night I was able to have dinner with someone, and there was barely anyone in the bar. Saturday night wasn't crowded either in the bar area. Sometimes hard to get a drink still, but that's a different issue.
I like how the redesigned bar have USB ports &power outlets at each table. They were thinking ahead.
It was around 3-4 years ago the bar area was shoulder-to-shoulder crowded, especially when Ben Heck was singing Pinball Wizard.. Much more chill now. Miss playing arcade games drunk at 3am though. Heh.
The Twin Cities pinball players are about to get even more spoiled starting tomorrow.
Tomorrow is the grand opening of John & Katie Galvin's (D&G Amusements) new Tilt Pinball Bar in Minneapolis. Tilt will be open 11am-2am everyday and features 22 pinball machines from all eras. The best part...all pinball machines are all only $.25. Play the new Batman LE and Aerosmith pins from Stern or classics like Attack From Mars and Addams Family...all for a quarter. If you're hungry they have a wide selection of gourmet hot dogs and of course a full bar with with a wide craft beer selection. The bar top is even made up of pinball playfields and the inserts light up in them. Besides pinball machines, Tilt also features a jukebox for some classic tunes, 3 large widescreen TVs to keep your attention, change machine, cash machine, plenty of room to sit and more. Stop in and check it out, it's an arcade style atmosphere for adults.

Such a fun game! I'm going to miss being able to play this one on route. Wish I had the extra cash to add this one to my collection. Great price and Sean is an excellent buyer/seller!

open to trades? looking for anything in particular?
Quoted from Whysnow:open to trades? looking for anything in particular?
Would consider trading for a lower value machine plus cash. No title in particular.
Listed my Stargate. I'm about 40 minutes north of Madison/Milwaukee Wisconsin. It's clean, cabinet looks really good. Full LEDs, Pinball Pro speaker, deep thumping base, sounds awesome. Rubbers still look new, they are purple.
Hey everyone - new to this thread. I'll be living in the Green Bay area June through December and wondered what kind of pinball activity is in the area? Leagues or get togethers? I'd be interested in getting involved!
I'll also be looking to add a few pins to my place of residence.
Quoted from Beatnik-Filmstar:It's more or less Mort's without the barflies. Absolutely amazing.
It was nice showing up to play pinball before noon and not feeling like I was intruding on the bar regulars. Day-time pinball playing at Morts was always really weird.

I agree. Games look in great shape, but those GI's in STTNG are ....horrible....
Thinking of Listing my Whoa Nellie for $4800 obo. Any local interest? Great game, perfect condition. Has florescent plastic protectors and Stern melon shooter rod. Also have the powder coated legs.

They look better in person, John at D&G does his lighting well.
