    United Cascade Shuffle Alley (1951) - price drop

    Added: 2017-03-06 18:43:18 UTC • Ended: April 7th, 2017

    Price

    $ 200 (OBO)

    I am looking to sell my United Cascade Shuffle Alley. I have had this machine for 25 years and got it from my grandfather, who probably had it for as long. The date on this piece reads "October 23, 1951". It is a 6 player machine. Unfortunately, the backglass is cracked. The score wheels will need some work to all function again. The pins operate well. The bottom of the 5 pin is off. Local pickup. $200 if I have to bring it to Pinfest in Allentown.

    Looks like a 1953 United more than a 1951. In 1951, United shuffle alleys still used score lights. They went to score reels in 1952. also http://www.pinrepair.com/bowl/cascade.jpg Not entirely sure about this but I think United made several different backglasses for the same game back in 1953. I had a 1953 United Chief and it looks exactly like yours---except for the backglass.

    Funny, I did notice that when searching for backglass replacements. I still can't explain the date on the formica though, unless the whole head unit was swapped.
