I'm not Quite finished with our gameroom, but I've promised myself, much to the wifes discontent, that one of the first props I'm getting, is a bit larger sized version of this.
    The coolest lighting decoration ever?

Awesome score ticker. Does something like that require a subscription service?

Yes it does require a subscription but not super pricey - You get all the live feeds direct out of Vegas with all the over/under and odds on most games. They keep it right up to the minute as well. There is actually a newer version out with all color graphics - Tickercom Sports if you want to google it

I suppose I have two nonstandard things in my game room....

My 4x8 gaming table with a TV built into the surface.

It’s an older picture as most of the games have changed, but the motherboard wallpaper is fun.

Old pics, but saw this style Red Bull machine at a gas station once and I spent 6 months looking until I found a new one. Had to have it. Second pic shows it turned on along with my Run DMD, Shea Stadium seats and a movie poster light box way in the back (forgot to turn it on).

Back when half my basement was a gym I always wanted to have a drinking fountain. Now that it’s all a gameroom I settled for a nice glass door mini fridge

Hey Guys- checked online from the link in the youtube and looks like its no longer available. If we get enough interest and someone has good electronic knowledge for that part to make up some units would be great. I have the capabilities to produce the acrylic items and hardware etc so we could do a bit of a collaboration. Just a thought

Hey DrummerMike - Neal Peart would be smiling at that kit!!

    We all miss Neal!

I saw his white marine pearl kit that he played with the Buddy Rich band. It was at Dale's drum shop a few years ago.

Based on the Facebook page the acrylic kit is still available, but the electronics are not because of the virus? It should be available in the future. Does anyone know how much the acrylic kit is from the seller?

However, TOMATOES on a hot dog!!! What the hell is wrong with you, man?!?

(Actually, it would be interesting to start a thread on hot dog toppings... I remember when my then wife to be came to visit me in Kansas over Christmas. I picked her up at the airport. She was starving, so I bought her a hotdog at the airport. She took one bite and.."what the hell is this?" as she pointed to the large kidney beans in the chili. In the South, the std fair is mustard, onion, chili (a meat sauce, no beans) slaw. And yes, it's said in that specific order.)

I want this. Except it needs to be about 5 ft tall and 10 feet wide.... or some appropriate aspect ratio....... is that doable?

wow that is go big or go home - anything is doable the only issue I can see is lighting it up properly and weight. It would weigh a ton for sure. The cost on the acrylic would be up there as well as you would be talking multiple sheets

I'm in for a spectrum analyzer kit or completed product. A smaller version in a stereo component width would be nice.

Ive always wantEd to build a full wall sized spectrum analyzer. There are some epic computer programs that achieve some great visuals but they’re out of date... but a static acrylic version would be sweet

    Ordered! or not.....

.....to make that setup that is 8 column x 15 tubes in the video..... that's real close to $12,000. 120 of their tubes plus lighting control software and sound to light controller.

Maybe better keep it back at the original version....

We have this in our game room.
These were used by the national park service back in the day as coin operated map dispensers.
Someone along the way converted it to dispense plastic capsules.
I have 300-400 plastic toys from the 1970s that came inside it when I bought it.
From the research I’ve done it looks like around 13 of these machines were made in total for use in places like Yellowstone.
