That’s beautiful, but I have epoxy in my garage and let me tell you that metal leg levelers do not like epoxy at all lol

It super simple, but I love having a high score tracker.

don't the machines already do that?

Not if you don't happen to make the lowest current high score cut on a given machine.
And I'm pretty sure one person can hold multiple high score positions on the same game too.

That works great, good idea if you only have a few pins. We keep a spreadsheet of each family members high score per machine with the date. It is fun when you can look and find out you just got a new personal best on a game.

They do but this way other people can track theirs because I have all the high scores on the machines.

It would be really cool to display personal family & friends high scores on a cheap LCD for everyone to see.

The pezpunk app that chuckwurt provided the pinside thread link to above is available at

    https://iscored.info/

Lifetime access is just $19.95. I have had it for two years, it gets updates and plenty of folks upload game images to the community link, or create your own game image. You can use it on a touchscreen monitor in your gameroom or on an ipad/tablet and cast it to a TV or monitor if you want.
I included a little screen shot of mine below. the number of games display is related to the width of the display - I can get about 7/8 on the screen at one time.

The most unusual item in one of my game rooms is a player piano
(circa 1907) which is manually pumped. A big part of the fun is finding
old music for it. Also have a couple old wind up phonographs and
    old radios (1930's and 40's).

Other things are the usual juke boxes, neons, MAME and classic video
    games. But pinball machine dominate.

I don’t know what the hell I’d do with it, but I’d love one of these weird ass things..

My great uncle restored those like we do here for pins, when he passed he had lots of them that his immediate family sold, I never had a chance to grab one , but I remember how cool they were. Wish I could have seen the inside of one

    #117 3 years ago

Well, I'm pretty sure that I want one of the original equalizers posted if they get made. Those are super neat.

I can't stand that they are the little LED strips though. That really limits how big you can make it. That sure sounds like quite a wiring project though if you were to use their programming and individually wire up the same number of a larger LED so that you can use larger panels or something. I've never looked into anything like that before so that's above me for sure.

But while I'm here I thought I'd post some things I've gotten over the years to add to the game room. I used to go to those Super Auctions all the time years ago, and then there was some other company that spawned off of them when they started getting in trouble for whatever was going on behind the scenes there, but I did pick up a couple neon arcade signs for "Replay" arcade and "Sultans Castle" arcade. There was another auction one time too where I ended up getting a hold of the guy who took over an arcade space that closed in a mall in southern Illinois. I don't remember how, but he probably had some stuff for sale online that I saw and noticed it was the same space that I had been in before. There were neon signs all around the old arcade, a helicopter, submarine, space shuttle, a big change arrow, and a big "please no smoking, drink, or food" sign. The "no" ended up shattering all over when we took them off the wall, but I drove back down to southern Illinois and picked up all the neon off the walls from the guy for $250. I was excited. Transformers and all. I haven't hooked them back up yet and just put them up on the wall for safe keeping until I really get into a remodel mode. I also was gifted a couple signs from an operators warehouse whom I'd bought about 40 games from over the course of a couple years, so those are hanging around too. Oh, and a "Game Gallry" arcade signe as well. That came from an auction at some point too. Long ago a friend of mine was in college for graphic arts/media type stuff and took a photo of me playing my nba jam arcade and then turned it into an nba logo type sign. Kinda neat. Maybe someday there will be a 3d lighted version like those back lit pacman and ghosts I saw posted a bit up in the thread. Could be neat! Anyway, enjoy.

    You all suck.

    Quoted from EJS:

Two years ago started to build a 14 foot craps table. Most of the specs match those at a casino. Unless you are compelled to throw from the end it feels like the real thing. Say what you want about dice tossing but with many hours of practice I have significantly improved my odds.[quoted image]

Let me know when the next casino night is.

    Very nice table.

Figured I would share this one.
I’m a sucker for arcade games and EM games with unique control panels. Especially on arcade games where the experience of how you control it can not be emulated.

AFM95 or anyone else send me a PM if you are interested. We were actually planning a big get together for the Twin Cities (and beyond) folks this late spring/summer but obviously everything has been put on hold. At least that allows us to spend more time getting machines in better working order.

(at this point I should probably add a disclaimer, like pinball, EVERYTHING in the basement, is of course -For Amusement Only- )

I have a Larry Elmore "survivor" lithograph, a matching postcard and some Roswell UFO crash site dirt (allegedly). Lol

And it all stems from those imamaculate Baywatch for sale threads. Compliments of wantdataeast

And some money was raised for charity too. Good times! (Sorry for the bad photos)

Ok I’ll add 2 items that are unique to my gameroom.

#1. This is a 20lb hammer that was a trophy for my first arm wrestling tournament. I have lots of trophies and medals from my strongman and competitive hand strength days but this is the coolest one and the only one on display in the gameroom

#2. Jungle Cruise Sign made by me. This is hanging by my dining booth area. Before I went full gameroom this area was home to a 4’x4’ model of the Jungle Cruise in Disney World I was building. I only finished the base and a few scenes. I’ve moved the scenes to my weight room area and hope to finish a smaller less ambitious version of it someday.

I'm surprised how few game rooms have slot machines and similar devices. They seem like a natural fit for people who like bright, shiny toys (I tell people that I'm like a crow).

When we get tired of playing pinball we usually just play....well, pinball!

can you guys explain the appeal of slot machines outside of a casino?

is it fun to play slots when there's no payoff? or are they just for decoration?

    #131 3 years ago

I love LED strips, but something about original neon is a little better.
I recently hung some quarter round to display all my marquees!

The only difference is you don't have the walk of shame after realizing you just lost a mortgage payment. If you play at my house with Your money I will absolutely pay the same as Any casino if loosing makes if feel more special...
