I feel most 80s games
There are some real gems of DMDs in the 90's that were not B/W. Stargate and Last Action Hero come to mind.
Junkyard is a very under rated game. It is unique and fun. People complain about a lack of original ideas and concepts in pinball. Here is a perfect example of a wonderful game that people seem to have an issue with; but it is very original!

There's a JY at an airport I always have layovers at.
It's hands down my favorite game! As soon as some spare jingle comes my way, she may very well be next on my list!
Probably System 11 games. They don't seem to get as much love and all they're really lacking are the Dots/DMD. Speed, speech, light show is there comparable to DMD.
Also feel there are too many pinball snobs that dismiss non Bally Williams games in general. Data East, Gottlieb, and Saga have some dogs to be sure, but also some great games that are too easily dismissed.

agreed. so much so that i'm considering using alphanumeric displays in a game i am designing. with the out of control prices of new games, it seems a lot more logical to go this route than the jersey jack lcd way.
that said, just because i can't afford a lamborghini doesn't mean i don't like them.
Someone should make a one-off machine "Pump-n-Dump"... it would be a pinball machine about flipping undesirable pinball machines. Multiball would consist of angry buyers, each ball representing an angry buyer (a mob of angry buyers!) Jackpot would consist of locking each of the angry buyers (ball) into a "room" (ball lock) with one of the TNT sales guys or something.
This would be the most underrated game ever.
From my collection-
SST and XMENLE
I like a lot of the underated pins more than some of the top rated pins.
Black Hole. an all-time classic and still a great game today. totally unique multiball, great layout overall, still one of very few games with an inverted lower playfield ... one of the first multiball games, one of the first talking games. highest-grossing pin of its era. extremely challenging, very fast. fantastic, classy art package. beautiful backglass with chaser lights and "infinity" double mirror effect.
and yet it's currently barely making the pinside top 100, and is sitting many places lower than Haunted House, its sister game, which doesn't even have speech or multiball, and whose playfield art is much uglier (imho of course). Clearly inferior games listed above it include Swords of Fury, Elvis, Eight Ball Deluxe, Cyclone, Corvette ... many others.
Maverick...people anti-Mel or hung up on possible DMD or opto issues. When you've got it working well and dialed in it is really hard to stop playing.
I always said BSD was an underrated game for years and years but you people all finally caught on to what I knew since the '90s, that it is a great game!
I think Jackbot is still underrated. Hell when it came out I didn't like it because of the bad porno music and how lame it was compared to the amazing sounds in Pinbot but once I learned the rules I realized just how much fun the game is, despite the horrible soundtrack.
Quoted from MXV:I think Jackbot is still underrated
I forgot to mention that one.....good call!
I do like the music
A lot of the machines that I have and love are underrated. Some because of low production or exposure, others because people just think they are turds. But none of that matters to me, because they are just as fun now as they were back in the day.
A few-
Twister
No Fear
Gladiators
Nascar
Judge Dredd
Big Hurt
Barb wire
Breakshot

Probably should have put a wink after that.
Quoted from MikeS:Is anything in the Pinside top 100 really underrated?
Wise words. It's all relative. If something is getting positive ratings, other things by comparison inherit lower ratings. Not everything can be number one
Dirty Harry and Last Action Hero neither are in the top 100 on pinside both great games. I don't think they get played that much and maybe like most games a few goes on a pin to not give it justice.
Goldeneye is a fantastic game. Great art, great toys and great play. Doctor Who is a lot of fun to play but I am not much into the art.
Shadow and JM. Both should be in the top 10. Shadow belongs in the top 5. Shadow is better than TZ, AF, TOTAN etc. IMHO. But Tz theme is obvoiusly better. But gameplay, DMD animations sounds, modes, features Shadow wins hands down.
Top 5 should be.
MM... debatable
XMenLE
LOTR
Shadow
Revenge from Mars. Because its better than attack, IMHO.
Then...
TSPP
Spiderman
Stern Star Trek
AFM
JM
Just my opinion. It means nothing.

Why not T2 as you own it also?
