    To me pins feel cluttered with junk under them, but I totally get the need for storage.

    The main problem with storing stuff under games is that it makes it much more difficult to move them as you gotta clear the junk and find another corner to stash it while getting a dolly under there.

    If I had to utilize the space I would construct crates/bins on wheels that close up and can be rolled out easily if needed.

    Yeah, this. Also... maybe get creative and add some padding to the lids that way they can be rolled out for extra bench seating when needed.
